Works great. No issues adding it to my existing eero network. Simply opened up eero app, hit the + in top right corner and it found the new eero and added it to my network. Easy peasy

It's better if you get more than one because it seems slower. I got more of them back in another state. So if you buy this it's better to just get multiple ones instead of this.

I bought this cause when I do my schoolwork if I have to watch a video it constantly stops and buffers. I told the sales associate what my problem was and he recommended this but I’m still having to let my videos load. Would not recommend this

The router is very simple - it looks nice and was easy to set up. I don’t personally know too much about other routers so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I’m quite happy with the purchase! I live in a one bedroom apartment (so not very large) and I get wifi everywhere so no issues with the range for me.

Excellent Wireless System For Most Home Users

First off, I am a certified Wireless Network Admin and I try to stay up-to-date with all things wireless via webinars, seminars, etc. I have setup hundreds of wireless systems ranging from small shops to major hospital chains. I have also worked with most of the major enterprise wireless companies and their network systems, so I am very familiar with how wireless works and especially what doesn't work (lol). I currently had an aging 802.11ac Wave 2 hardwired AP system that was starting to experience hardware issues and needed to be replaced. I wanted a reliable hardwired system, and 802.11ax (WiFi 6) support would be a plus. This system will hopefully be replaced within the next year with the newer WiFi 6E (6GHz) system, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it.
I would have preferred to go with a system from Ubiquiti, but that system would have set me back almost $700, and it would have still be 802.11ac Wave 2. Enter the new Eero 6 systems from Amazon. Although the older Eero systems had a lot of issues, according to various threads, most of those have been worked out. Also this system is less than half the price, so I figured I would try them out. So far, I am happy I did.
I purchased and installed three (3) of these Eero 6 Routers in my house with Ethernet cabling to each installation location. I did not want to purchase the 3-pack as it comes with only one (1) Router and two (2) of the cheaper Extenders. Both the Router and the Extenders can be 'meshed' together with a wireless backhaul (which is actually quite old technology and is NOT recommended unless you cannot run Ethernet cabling to the needed locations), but only the full Routers have two (2) Ethernet ports on the back of them for wired backhauls and other wired connections. This is crucial to me as every time you make a wireless hop, you effectively cut your throughput speed in half. You may have good signal everywhere, but you will suffer on raw bandwidth transmission and speed.
For me it was either purchasing three (3) of these Eero 6 Routers, or the 3-pack of the Eero Pro 6 Routers, which happen to be almost twice the price. The third antenna is nice on the Pro units, but unless you have Gigabit Internet or faster speeds at your house, you truly will not benefit from the additional speeds those offer. Yes you will possibly be able to connect to other devices on your own network faster, but usually that is not realized in real world environments. The third radio would be a nice feature to manually restrict it to 802.11ax clients only, and utilize the other 5GHz radio for legacy devices (802.11ac Wave 2 and earlier), to avoid the slowdowns you would incur from putting all those clients on the same 5GHz radio. Unfortunately, there are not many 802.11ax clients in production, so the amount of users that would truly benefit from this are scarce. WiFi 6E (6GHz) will bring new efficiency and capabilities when it is ratified next year (hopefully), and that will be a blessing, and that will truly justify a third or forth radio.
I have only been using these a few days, but my only complaints so far are the limitations of that the system. First off, there is no way to manually set the wireless channel of either band on the units themselves. There is also no way to adjust the output power of the antennas either. These two adjustments are very nice features on competing systems that allow you to fine tune your system manually. In some cases, you actually want to turn DOWN the output power of your APs in order to match the output power of your lower power client devices, and these units do not allow you to do that. Most people will overlook these two adjustments, as most people will be happy that these units are EXTREMELY easy to setup and get working, as it took me only about 5-10 minutes to setup my first unit, and then maybe 5 minutes for each additional unit. Yes, they are that easy to configure and setup as the system does 99% of the tasks automatically for you. It is very Apple like, and lots of people will appreciate that, but some will want more control which sadly these do not allow.
One more complaint that I have is that you cannot choose a different SSID (wireless network name) for your 2.4GHz band vs your 5GHz band. They have to use the same SSID, which again most people won't care about, but some will. They also use the same wireless channels, which is not recommended in most systems, but appears to be working decently with this system. Your guest network can be enabled or disabled, and you can choose a unique SSID and WPA-PSK (passphrase) for it, so that is a plus.
My house is roughly 3,100 ft^2 with an additional 1,700ft^2 basement (4,800ft^2 total). Each Eero 6 unit says it will cover up to 1,500ft^2, and a 3-pack system says it will cover up to 5,000ft^2. I was hoping that three (3) of these units would have blanketed my house, but I think I will be buying a forth unit for that. I used wireless survey software to check coverage, and although I have excellent signal in most of my house, signal is lacking in a few areas inside and also outside my house, and I want to make sure these areas are covered. At just over $100 per unit, buying an additional unit is a no-brainer for me, but I will have to wire up a new location and relocate two of my existing units. An easy task, but only if you know what you are doing.
Again these are extremely easy systems to setup, and most of the controls are done automatically for you. I especially like the ability the create user profiles and assign hardware devices to each member of my household. I have over 70 wireless devices on my network (and more wired devices), so having profiles for each of my family members, and also separate profiles for various systems and security devices make it much easier to look at person/system usage. You can also see individual client traffic in real time, and that is a major plus on something this simple.
My quick synopsis... I am happy I bought this system and it should get me through the next transitional year easily. For the average person that wants an easy to deploy system in their house, this is a great (and cheap) system to have. The pros definitely outweigh the cons for them. For those that want more control over their network, look elsewhere.

For context, I added this eero 6 AX1800 (eero 6) to an existing mesh network containing 1 eero Pro 6 AX4200 as the main router. I typically have about 30 devices connected and doing stuff, including a NAS in my 1300 sq ft apartment (with a large amount of other wireless networks around me.)
I honestly could not have been happier with the experience of adding the eero 6 and the results once it was aadded. Adding the eero 6 was very simple using the iOS app, and once added to my mesh network eero's internal software automatically manages which client goes to which router.
You don't even have to fuss with creating and connecting to 2.4ghz vs 5 ghz clients-- the router hides all of this from your clients. You just connect with your device and the router decides which network is best based on channel noise and connection quality. And the best part is that it gets better over time as it constantly monitors the environment and makes automatic corrections.
The app is top tier in my opinion-- easily exposing currently connected clients and how much bandwidth they're using. I don't require any type of content filtering, so I can't speak about that functionality, but I do believe it's something you have to pay for.
In summary, I can only speak to using this eero 6 as an expansion to my network rather than as the main router; however, for a smaller apartment or home I could see this working well. Very high quality product and great support!

A big shout out and thanks to the Best Buy associate in Allen, TX!
I considered myself tech-savvy until trying to understand mesh routers. So many products on the market and so many unique needs for consumers. I told the associate I live in a two-bedroom apartment, ISP is AT&T with Fiber 500, and by default, my AT&T modem/gateway is located in a bedroom closet on the furthest corner of the apartment. I am lucky to have a couple of live ethernet connections throughout my unit, which I use for home office and Apple TV. However, my WiFi performance has been terrible everywhere other than the main bedroom (near modem). It actually got worse after upgrading from Internet 100 to Fiber 500 recently. I have an iPhone 15 and it always chooses my cellular data over the WiFi throughout my home.
The Best Buy associate immediately showed me this magical device and informed me it’s all I need given my situation. The best part is I didn’t have to sacrifice one of my ethernet connections in the wall. This device has two ethernet ports. I was able to connect to the wall with the included ethernet cable, and plug my existing ethernet cable in the second port, and back into my Apple TV. Setup was SO simple. The eero app is simple, clean, and user friendly. When I run a speed test on my iPhone using the AT&T Smart Home Manager, my device download speed ranges from 450-510 mbps. Also, when setting up, be sure to use same WiFi network name and password. Most devices rerouted to the eero automatically. Two others remained connected to main modem, but switched as soon as I disconnected WiFi and reconnected. Phenomenal product and easy solution. Only needed one eero to solve my problem. Cost was just $89.99. So glad I didn’t opt to rent a similar product being pushed by AT&T for $10 a month. I just wish I knew about this product sooner.

This dual-band router work great! We had a little trouble with internet around the house. The main eero router is in the living room. We have a 3000 square ft house with 5 bedrooms. I put this one in my home office because extenders didn't work well. No problem with internet now even on the patio. We love this brand and have 3 eero routers in the house. Easy to set up and connect with other eero routers but it can connect to other brands.
