Why? Amazon turned basic features into a paid monthly subscription. If your looking to have full functionality you will need to give Amazon more money.

Since adding to my system I have no complaints. I am docking one star because Eero has required 1 more puck than advertised on their site based on my house's sq ft.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially told by your staff that it could work as a WiFi receiver and booster with just one unit, such that my Router/Modem could be in one room, it could be in another, and via ethernet from the Eero, I could add connectivity to a wired smart TV; however, I only learned afterwards on my own that it required a 2nd Eero to remain plugged into my Modem/Router in order to send signal to the one in the other room. I returned it and instead found a WiFi signal booster that could also provide connection via ethernet to my wired smart TV. Price-wise, that made much more sense than picking up a 2-pack of Eeros (which also more-so came in at least 3-packs. I don't have a house that big). Sidenote: There was no indication clearly on the box that Eero was owned by Amazon, which I don't want them reading my data.

Posted .Hi AriF. Thank you for providing feedback regarding your experience with the eero 6 router. I'm sorry to hear that the recommendation did not meet your expectations. In order to hard wire devices in multiple rooms, you'd need two eeros. I would recommend the eero 6+ 2-pack system since both eeros in the package will have two gigabit Ethernet ports for incoming and outgoing connections. I hope this information helps. Only complaint is that the unit only has 2 LAN ports. I have to buy a more hardware to connect everything. Also I did not notice much of speed improvement as promised.
