I got these hoping they would be a better option for my home than the Google Nest Mesh System I was using. Let me say 1st, I love how user friendly the Google Nest is and how compatible it is with other devices in my home (same platform, etc.). I think that is what I miss the most. Eero does seem to work faster, but I think I need 4 pods in addition to the 3 that are included. With 2600 sq. ft., Google covered by home, but was not as fast. Eero is fast, but doesn't completely cover my home. Now I am forced to spend more money on another eero to gain coverage.

Hello ChristaH! Thank you for your feedback on the eero 6+ system. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience comparing it to your previous Google Nest Mesh System. It's great to hear that you're experiencing faster speeds with the eero 6+ system. However, I understand your frustration with the coverage gaps in your 2,600 sq. ft. home and the additional investment required to achieve complete coverage. The eero 6+ system is designed to cover up to 4500 sq. ft. with a three-pack, though actual coverage varies based on home construction, wall materials, and layout. Homes with multiple floors, thick walls, or complex layouts may require additional units for complete coverage. Before purchasing additional units, here are several strategies to maximize coverage with your existing three-unit system: 1. Strategic Placement Optimization: Position your gateway eero centrally where your modem is located, then place the additional units in areas that create overlapping coverage zones. eeros work best when placed in open spaces, elevated positions (like on shelves), and away from thick walls, metal objects, large appliances, and electronics that can cause interference. 2. Update and Optimize: Verify your eero app is current and that your system has the latest firmware. Check your network topology in the app to ensure each eero is connecting optimally—sometimes repositioning units by just a few feet can dramatically improve coverage.
If after optimizing placement you still experience coverage gaps and decide an additional unit is necessary, a fourth eero 6+ would indeed provide the comprehensive coverage you need for your home size. If you have questions about optimal placement for your specific home layout or need assistance with network configuration, eero Support is available at (877) 659-2347 7 days a week 6:00 am – 8:00 pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day! AmazonDevices

Overall, it was fairly simple to set up. Although, we had to reconnect 25 devices with the new the new network. Also, eventually the mesh network will pay for itself since we were able to stop leasing three plooms...so far so good.

Super simple and better than the modem itself. I had received got a 1gb modem and wifi plan and had my console pluged into the modem and got at max 800mb per second. Then I moved my setup and wirelessly I only got 300mb per second. So I decided to go with this and it was super easy to set up following the steps on the app and I now get a peak of 950mb per second. Not only that but the range is insane for wireless connectivity.

These extenders are wonderful. The Internet stays connected in my back bedroom and in my living room all the time and never drops since I purchased these it took me 20 minutes to set them up and they worked from the get-go excellent devices. I would recommend if you’re having loss of Internet and any part of your house.

I was using Linksys Velop System that, when it went offline, I could not set up. I would end up calling Geek Squad and paying $150 to get it back on. Last night the power went out, an of course lost my wireless again! Enough! Bought this Eero 3 unit system this morning….Nervously, maybe because I’m 78, I decided to try to install myself. Installed the app and…. Wow! 20 minutes later I had WiFi in my two story condo. Great speed, intuitive app, faultless, very easy install! I couldn’t be happier! If that changes, which I doubt, I’ll be back!
