Have nit been able to play a game without connectivity issues. Facetime calls lag as well. Ran diagnostics with ISP and everything was running good on the ISPs side. Ive wired directly to the main gate eero and still experience lag issues. Ive called eero and they really were no help as it continues to lag. Best buy return policy does not allow for more than 15 days and now im stuck with a 300 dollar mesh system that is terrible.

It kept saying move it closer to the modem router. I don’t know how close they want it if it is literally right next to it. The range was good from what I got from just the one. But not worth it. Maybe the higher model is good but definitely not this one.

We'd like to clarify what's happening here. During the eero setup process, you may be prompted to enter payment information for the optional eero Plus subscription (which includes advanced security features, ad blocking, and VPN protection). However, this is entirely optional and not required to activate or use your eero system.
Here's what you need to know:
Basic setup is free: You do not need to provide a credit card to set up and use your eero mesh system. The core Wi-Fi functionality works without any subscription.
Skip the subscription prompt: During setup in the eero app, when you see the screen asking for payment information, look for a "Skip" or "No thanks" option to bypass the eero Plus subscription offer and continue with free setup.
If you accidentally subscribed: You can cancel eero Plus at any time through the eero app under Settings > eero Plus > Manage Subscription with no penalty.
We apologize for the confusion in the setup flow — we understand how a credit card prompt during what's supposed to be a free activation can feel misleading. Your feedback helps us improve how we communicate these optional offers during the setup experience.
