It's awful for smart homes that use 2.4 GHz devices. There's no web interface, so you have to do all your setup with a phone app, which becomes very limiting. If you look at Reddit, you'll find many people like me who have spent hours trying to get devices to connect, rebooting, moving the routers, resetting devices, rebooting, etc. I've been in software for decades and have an EE degree, so I know what I'm doing, but you can't do much besides trial and error if things don't work. A previous inexpensive TP-Link router provided better range and stability. It has a few nice features and I hate to return it after spending so much time and money, but I'm considering giving up on it.

We will have to go get one more to have the coverage we need.

Basics done well, only excellent with subscription

A lot of the QoL features that I love and that separate it from competition is blocked behind a subscription paywall so I can’t in good faith rate those features on the retail purchase price, but as a mesh WiFi it does the basics quite well.

I phone and I pad connected fine hence 3 stars. I have only been able to connect 1 tv out of 3. Only 1 out of 2 laptops connected so far. And the fire stick does not connect. Very difficult to deal with.
