If it doesn't work, then this system is a nightmare. My unit kept insisting on connecting 5 GHz devices to 2.4 GHz which made the connection useless. As there is no way of manually making the connection 5 GHz then it was useless to me. Also I tried adding an extender, which again there is no control over, and it only started working when it considered the signal to be worth extending (which it decided it wasn't needed) so if it works automatically then it's great, if it doesn't then you will probably, like me, just send it back
