Using 5G via our router/modem, we could not get adequate coverage in the back bedrooms. We tried the eero system on advice by Best Buy salesperson without success. We reduced the Wi-Fi to 2.4G, and this resolved the problem.

Great, doesnt get disconnected

Has to be the gateway

I bought this one from Best Buy and that one has to be very close to the gateway device to be able to connected to the mesh network, which make it totally useless. If I place it in another floor, the the device keep online and offline back and forth, and then eventually offline. I thought it was a broken device, then I replaced another one, and it has the same issue. But if I place my old device in the exact same place, it has no issue to connect to the gateway device. Then I change the new one to be the gateway, and the old two just working fine when they are far away and on different floors from the new device. So I guess this one has to be the gateway device? And their tech also don’t know why it is.
