    Buyer Beware

Pay attention to poor reviews that you read about the Eero Pro Mesh system. And don’t buy it through Am*zon because they are no longer allowing reviews. Eero is owned by Am*zon by the way. This seemed to be a great system for about 7 months. And then it crashed. I was getting exactly 1 mb download when it did. And when it crashed, it crashed hard. After checking to make sure all was okay on the ISP side, I called Eero who insisted it was anything except their unit. After 3 hours on the phone with their tech person, trying all different things to prove it was on my side, they finally had to admit it was the Eero and would send me out a “new” one. What I got was a refurbished Eero with the same problems. Speed is a little faster; a whopping 36 mb download. So, then I started looking at reviews. I could have swore I did that before I bought it! Well, guess what. There are tons of reviews telling you what I’m writing here now. It’ll work great for 6-7 months and then go down. And the Eero solution is to send the same broken product with the same problem. But hey, I’ve got a stylish square piece of art displayed now.

    AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Constantly drops out causing alexa to disconnect, my streaming tv's drop out, and leaves my security system struggling. These things run hot, turn red, then drop and may even dobit multiple times a day. Not to mention, EERO is full of crooks! I purchased their security plus for 'half off' but still ended up paying full price, even after I complained - their 'customer service,' stayed the6 would give me a credit and li and behold 3 weeks later STILL NO CREDIT returned! All in all I'd say this system sucks, but it is so much worse than that and I have to mind my language. I wouldn't use this mesh system to wipe with! I just don't get how these douchebags get such good ratings when their system and service sucks!

Absolute Junk - Died Exactly 14 Months After Buy

I was fairly happy with this router as it worked very well until it refused to connect to Internet via cable modem and stopped providing DHCP service to all my devices. The Eero app on my phone constantly crashes so that's useless to try to troubleshoot. Spent several hours with Eero technical support and they couldn't do anything to get the router back up. Agent said the HW appears to be "permanently broken". For $350 for two units, it should last longer than 14 months! I should have purchased the extended warranty offered by Best Buy.

    Don’t buy

Purchased these for a two story house. They kept going offline and not working. I contacted customer support and tried to trouble shoot them. We moved them all over the house moved them as close as possible to reach each other. The total square footage of our house was 2/3 of advertised coverage area. They eventually said I had to put them 30’ from each other. If I did that I only covered half of the first floor of my house. Essentially unless you need it for one or two rooms do not buy these and don’t expect much help from Eeros customer service team.

Garbage! Do not buy this junk!

The store rep touted this junked mesh router as the best thing since sliced bread. It was more like stale moldy bread! This overpriced piece of junk was my not worth 2 cents even with the discounts they offered. I kept having to plug and unplug this thing literally 5-10 times per day and signal was intermittent at best. Also it did not work with my switch so do yourself a favor and do not buy this piece of garbage! I will return this junk and get another ASUS dual band router at half the cost and is way more reliable.

We set up the network as described, but one of the units keeps disconnecting from the network. It is less than 30 feet from the first hub. I was on the phone for hours with their support line, but are unable to fix this issue. Even swapping units around didn't seem to help. I suspect one or more of the units is defective, but not able to get Eero to admit this. May end up throwing these away since it has been at least 60+ days since the purchase.

One device will not stay connected

Worked great for a few weeks. Even recommended to a friend. Now one off 3 devices will not stay connected. I have tried all of the recommendations online. Called support. First was told my house might be too large. Then I told them it was only 1200 sq ft. Was then told it maybe too small and there might be over saturation. Only by this if your house is the perfect size. Not sure what size that is. Will not be recommending to anyone else now.

Went with eero over Google at first since I have Dots, Echos and Firesticks. Worked ok for the first few days, then the system just wouldn’t stay connected to my ISP router. Tried the various configuration solutions offered online. Made 0 difference. The devices just wouldn’t stay connected. Took it back and got The Google Nest 2 pack. Set it all up and it is running like a champ.

Like alot of the reviews I am seeing on here, I am passed the return policy and it seems like now the problems show up. Constant disconnects and high lag spikes. I work from home and this is making my connection a nightmare. I am really hoping Best Buy will make an exception and return this.

You cant disable 5ghz. You can only suspend it for a few minutes. This is causing issues with my 2.4 only devices. When i remove the eero and turn my crappy AT&T router back on, i have no more issues. This is a simple option that should be available.
