Very please so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been in search for a good router or mesh wi-fi system this year. I tried Netgear Orbi and Asus Blue Cave. I have an IP phone for work and while it doesn't require much bandwidth, it needs very low latency and that was a big problem with the Orbi. With Smart Queue Management enabled, my IP phone works great! The range isn't as great as the Orbi, but it is still more than plenty for pretty much all my devices. I usually have about 30 devices on my network. I like the app UI as it does have a pretty wide array of features and control. You can see how much bandwidth each device is using, which is super handy for me. Very happy with this mesh wi-fi system so far. Also nice that any of the 3 can be the main router as long as it has a wired connection.

Nice features, not worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The eero is really great for people who have never set up a router before me are used to having apps for that. The experience is great and when I was moving and just wanted wifi it was nice having so much info with me. That being said, after having had one for a while, there are some gripes I have with eero. None of them are about eero as a router but the experience that comes with it (which you’re paying for too so I thought it worth mentioning). 1. If you don’t have your phone when you run into an issue it can be kind of hard to do anything. There was a brief period where my wifi went down and my phone was dead and I couldn’t do anything until my phone was charged because while there is a web version, I didn’t have any internet to access it on my computer. 2. No way to remove devices permanently. I sometimes have devices show up as new devices (like all my ios devices after they updated to OS14) and it was really annoying seeing their old profiles down at the bottom with other disconnected devices with no way to delete them permanently. Even blocking only moves them into a separate category. 3. Alexa compatibility. As someone who has a smart home I was excited to see something less than 100 that was Alexa enabled but honestly the only feature I was excited to use (locating devices through eero by asking Alexa) just tells you what router the device is closest to. which i guess makes sense but was hilarious to hear since I only have one router so it didn’t help lol. Overall though, the Alexa features weren’t amazing but not disappointing either. Just meh

Can get range but speed drops off
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actually got 6 to cover the entire house of about 3700 sq feet but speed suffers with multiple units. Had one router which was faster but didn’t get to the corners of the house. Was gettin speeds of 175 on 200 speed internet now getting about 110 and down to 50 in the corners of the hose where I was not getting anything. So i lost a little and gained a little bit for almost $400 for two sets I don’t know if it was worth it.

Five months and still working
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Five months and still working. I got great immediate help when I called the EERO number to walk me through setting it up. This brand was recommended by a sales woman in The Denver West store after a recommendation from a Comcast installer to help me extend Wi-Fi from a low level on the property where the modem sat, up a flight of stairs where the second pod sat by a window, and into a detached garage apartment across an alley and up in another window where the 3rd pod sits.

Life is good with Eero!

The product itself is very good, but ...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The coverage is fantastic. We can go anywhere in the house and have coverage. It works in the garage and even in my pole barn 150 feet behind my house (with the barn door open). However, I did learn the hard way that it doesn't support PPPOE connections which includes DSL. If you have DSL, you must keep you existing router to connect to your service provider and perform the DHCP functions. It works, but you lose some functionality of the eero including one of the main reasons I purchased it - individual device bandwidth usage. I would recommend it for coverage and reliability but if you have DSL, other mesh routers support PPPOE and may be a better choice.
