Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Overall, my coverage and speeds went up. The best thing about this is that it doesn't look like a spider and I can actually place it in a visible location.

    This mesh does work

I live in a two-story house built in the 1920s. Plaster walls with wire mesh and rather solidly constructed it was a challenge for a single point wireless router. This fall a fiber connection became available to our neighborhood. This was goodbye to the DSL provider. Yippee. Conveniently Costco had the Orbi minis on sale which I purchased. They spec’d out very well and were priced nicely. They were easy to set up and for my usage they were great as I had an office upstairs and the entertainment area on the main floor and had a hardwired connections in both locations. The Orbis provided LAN connections to network switches and everything seem to be fine. However I would frequently get can’t find server on my mobile devices and didn’t think too much about it. However when I attempted to work from home on a Windows machine and needed to make a Skype call I could see that I was disconnecting and reconnecting to the Internet every 5 to 10 minutes. I went on online and found out that this was a characteristic of the Orbis. So I ended up trying the eeros which were twice as much money but provided the same type functionality as they had LAN connections for my switches and had the Triband that the Orbis had. Although not as fast these work. The app is ptretty cool as you can see all your connections. My only gripe is the eero plus adder. Not everyone charges extra for the service. Neighbor with same fiber uses the Google mesh and has no issues. We have 300 mbps connections which seems like Google might be slowing down a bit.

    3rd Times a charm!

After paying $500 for a mesh system I didnt expect one to not be working out of the box, only to have the RMA of that unit not work either. I was debating taking the entire system back for another, but waited for the 3rd replacement and it worked just fine. I am covering a 3800sq ft house and a 1200sq ft shop (and the 2000 sqft yard between them) with FULL UBIQUITOUS COVERAGE THROUGHOUT. Interestingly I only bought this so my internet radio in my shop (originally on an extender...what a joke) would stop playing songs for 10 seconds and beffer, and re-buffer, etc. Those issues are LONG GONE. I went ahead and bought a Roku TV at Best Buy and put it out in my shop. Youtube, Internet Radio, everything, on FAST/FULL COVERAGE.

    Returned Orbi for this!

3200 square foot 3 level home with 2 teenagers and a wife that stream a lot, all day. Xbox and 4K tv’s are going as well. My old Nighthawk router stopped working. I bought the Orbi 3000, 2 piece setup. The setup failed multiple times, the firmware update failed many times and then I couldn’t even do a Speedtest because it said I wasn’t online. Setup time was approx 1.5 hours. Once I finally got it working, everyone in the house said the internet felt slow. Xbox has horrible latency problems and was unplayable. The Speedtest oddly enough was 290 mb/s. But it definitely did not portray that. I went and bought the Eero. Setup time was 20 mins, only because of retyping all the passwords into every little device, security camera, Roku’s Etc. To test it I streamed one 4K movie, streamed an HD movie on another tv, had my wife stream YouTube, security cameras and then I played Xbox. NO lag at all. Speedtest was 298 mb/s and it definitely feels like it. Everything flies and there is no lag whatsoever. The app is better than the Orbi too. I shows everything in a cleaner way, like how much bandwidth each device using. The price tag is definitely high, that’s the only downfall. So only time will tell if this is worth it because IPhone 11 already has the capability of a new WiFi, which none of these popular mesh systems support.

I purchased and set up eero - Pro Mesh WiFi System (3 eeros), 2nd Gen two weeks ago. I always had to reboot my router before watching Netflix, I have a stack of high end name brand routers that just never work very well, along with a repeater. I have not had one issue or hiccup with the eero mesh system. Set up was so easy. Best technology moneyI have spent in the last 5 years. A bit Pricey but well worth it.

Had a combo router modem and only could get WiFi in living room. Got the eero pro system and was very easy to setup. It came with 3 eero units. Installed one in the living room, second one in the back of the house and 3 rd one out in the garage. Have great coverage all over the house. Smartphone app is very easy to use and it allows you to see who is connected and gives you the option to pause or kick them off. App has a bunch of other functions too.

Eero - transformed my wifi at home

My wife works from home and comcast always seems to throttle the promised speeds. Eero made our house wifi blazing fast, even though it was spread out over three levels with lots of big barriers. Well done Eero! I used to have Google Routers, but Eero was way better at handling the mesh. Setup was a breeze too!

Just got this system. Seems a bit like a router with 2 extenders, but we shall see. Setup went well - so long as you remember to re-plug your phone cord into your Spectrum modem for the VoIP phone to work - ahem. LOL Got the 2 extra eeros set up in the house. On my phone the download recorded 299 and upload 22.8 on the speed test; the wireless laptop recorded 96.2 on the download and 15.2 on the upload sitting downstairs from the router and not plugged into any ethernet cord. Both tests said "very fast" and I do notice the computer is moving a lot faster! I had a problem getting my 1st gen Echo Tower to read the network signal so after calling Amazon, I took my laptop upstairs with the tower to get it close to the new eero router, and finally got it to read the signal with the person on the phone assisting. No problems redoing the newer generations of Echo Dots and Amazon plugs myself to read the new network signal. TV was also a breeze to connect.

I just switched out my terrible Netgear Orbi for the new 2nd generation Eero Pro Pack. Expensive, but worth it; no more dropped signals, no more Sonos troubles, a flawless wi fi system. The Eero iOS app is excellent as well. I probably could have gotten by with either a 2 pack or one Eero router and 1 Eero beacon.

Best solution for large house WiFi

I looked at several solutions to my WiFi woes. Ultimately I decided on the eero 3pack- worked perfectly for my 3 level 8000 sq ft house. I have a lot of steel supports to allow open floor plan. Having Ethernet ports allows strongest signal at each eero. 3 bars everywhere, even on pool deck!

I initially replaced my Apple routers with a Linksys Velop system, and it was complete garbage. Constant issues and problems. I replaced the Linksys with this Eero system and it has been awesome! Easy to setup and not one single glitch or issue since installing. Highly recommend!!!

Absolute garbage for the cost. These mesh system routers have been extremely unreliable. They disconnect randomly and lag quite often. Very seldom, they route the great internet I pay for. Customer service is, meh, at best. I pay $475 for this supposed "trusted brand" and receive a polish stool sample in return.

If you have one home wireless network (one SSID) and are looking for better coverage, this is likely a good option. But, be aware that while it says 'Pro' on the box, it is missing several professional features: Only one SSID can be configured for your home network, and one guest SSID for direct to internet access. I had three SSIDs on my previous router, to separate my security cameras from my IoT devices and my computers/phones. No Quality of Service control. Everything gets the same bandwidth priority. My Synology NAS boxes cannot configure router port forwarding automatically on the Eero, so I have had to configure them manually. IP address reservations can only be defined for devices currently active on the network. My iPad Air 2 keeps dropping the Wi-Fi connection and I have to restart it to reconnect. My other Apple devices do not have this problem. My Foscam and D-Link cameras continue to drop connections to the Eero network daily, despite strong signal strength.

Replaced my apple AirPort Extreme setup with this. And I purchased the linksys velop system before took it back due to having to reset it after every time I lost power. Love how I can build a schedule for my daughter to cut internet access off at certain times of the week and weekend. Great job eero

Very simple setup without any problems. Better identification of connected devices and very simple alias setup. Easy to block devices. Coverage excellent on 1800 square foot 2 story house and additional 800 square foot patio. I bought this new ã Best Buy on sale for $299 which I feel is a more acceptable price than the $499 regular price that I would never had paid. Has available guest network. Very expandable and WAN/LAN ports are interchangeable on all devices.
