Before I bought this I had wifi extenders which I could never get any improvement to my wifi no matter what. There were areas in my house which I could not connect to the internet even though our house is relatively new and a ranch with no basement nor upstairs. I purchased and laid out three of them but I'm pretty sure that two would have been sufficient. At present I can get a good connection anywhere in the house and in addition anywhere on our property.

Easy set up. Only took 15 minutes and that was to set up the three pack. Have not had any problems in the 2 and a half months I've had it. Would rate 5 star but the system is quite expensive.

Bought as gift for SO parents

Bought as a gift to my SO parents. They have a large house and their current wireless set up does not reach the entirety of their house. I bought this as a sort of network extender. With current extenders, you lose SIGNIFICANT signal speed as you hook it up. This set up allows you to keep your signal strength while extending the network out further. They are super happy with this set up! Would not recommend for gaming, but rather just regular usage.

We live in a 100+year home. Not sure what is in the walls, but conventional wifi from the cable company has always been sketchy. We were unable to consistently stream on our smart tv. We bought the 3 pack for the first floor and the wifi is great! With the Eero app I can check what the wifi is running at. I can also assign guest passwords and parental controls. The only issue I have had was when it just stopped working. Eero customer support talked me a thru a hard reset process, they were great. I was lucky enough to have that occur during service hours-if not we would have been out of wifi for the weekend. This is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

Best Whole Home WiFi I've Tried

I have tried the Amplifi, Google, and EERO mesh wifi setups. So far, I prefer the EERO system. The app is pretty easy to use. There are limitations. For example, I found it difficult to change the IP range of the devices. The biggest advantage to the EERO system is being able to monitor a client's network remotely from the app. Coverage is solid. Make sure if you need to update a device it is close enough to the base unit to get the update downloaded and installed. It's a real pain when they don't update correctly.

The original booster that we had was very difficult to set up again, after power outages or if the silly thing became unplugged. Nor did it have a very long reach. The eero, on the other hand, is plugged in and automatically picks up the modem signal and spreads it throughout the house.

Placed the 3 eero's through out the house , Main Router is in the basement and then two of the eero's are on the first floor. One being wired to the router and the other is wireless. The third one I place upstairs. They seem to be giving good coverage for now, time will tell.

Solved my wifi problems in 3 story house

This was an in-store recommendation from a Best Buy rep. My house has 3 floors and my modem has to be on the 3rd floor in my office, and I wasn't getting any connection on the first floor. I had no experience with an issue like this and I knew that the reps at the store would help me. The product solved all of my problems and took me all of 5 minutes to set up, which was great and easy for someone who isn't so tech savvy. Love it!

Good mesh network for multi-level homes

We had been using range extenders like an old string of holiday lights trying to illuminate more areas than they could. Eero did the trick and overall wi-fi stability and accessibility has finally been achieved. Very little downtime with these units and for the hefty price tag, that's the way it should be. We have a two-story suburban home with a full basement. I have one Eero on each level of the house and Comcast/Xfinity is our ISP. We are getting 75 mbps down and 25 mbps up generally anywhere in the house now. And about 50 mbps down and 20 up outside the house on a front patio and attached deck with a gazebo. I run Cisco IP phones into the Eero's via ethernet and they work fine. We have anywhere from 20-30 devices connected to the wifi at any time. We run Netflix and Sonos without too many issues. I had to change the Sonos sub-net to channel 1 to avoid conflict where the Sonos would drop audio - but that's about it after being in the Eero environment for just over a month now. Again, for the hefty price, it has to perform well otherwise we would have returned it. We were close to an Airport Extreme and two expresses to get devices on all three levels but opted for this set-up for starters and all is working as intended!

After trying a network booster with antennas, which never really worked, I spoke to the Best Buy sales person& decided to try these. It works well in my 4 story brick townhouse, was easy to install, & goes right to the correct network. It has an easy app as well, which can be used to check on the power of each unit. I both the set of 3 & am very happy. Everyone sends a follow-up email & oh by the way, they look good.

You can't put a price on a good network

Yes, you could cobble together your own network that would purportedly accomplish the same thing. I've tried that. I've dumped a few thousand dollars over the years on DIY solutions to cover my house, only to find a new performance or reliability problem needing yet new equipment. There's a special place in my closet that's a router graveyard. Eero just works. It was a dream to set up (although "minutes" to get going doesn't account for the number of devices you probably need to type a new password in), their admin app is excellent, and the coverage is gap-free and steady. For the first time in a decade I can stream Netflix over 300 feet from the cable modem, with walls, floors, and appliances in the path, without so much as a drop to 720p. This is also, counting portables, a 7 game console house. UPnP isn't quite perfect - one of the Xboxes likes to be strict NAT sometimes, but rebooting it makes it open, and doesn't interfere with any of the other game consoles also being open at the same time. This is an expensive set of equipment. But I'm certian it's going to save me a whole lot more in failed solutions in the future.

Finally able to have wifi in the far ends of my home. For years I've tried to buy routers, repeaters, extenders...all to no avail. Technology is becoming increasingly part of our everyday lives that a whole house mesh system is essential. Eero works...and if you want more coverage simply just buy another pod.
