Promising but not there yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked the mesh concept and wanted the eero system to work for my needs but the deployment limitations (wired back-haul requires very specific topology), throughput limitations (although this may now be rectified with their latest software update in Nov 2016) and software is just not there yet. Specifically the limited software settings for configuration and the parental controls were sorely lacking for my usage. One example is their "internet pause" feature often failed to function (very hit or miss when enabled and the kids devices kept working). In the end I returned the product.

Okay, has better coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to be better than old router. Had all sorts of problems setting up so our Sonos could still pull music from a server. Had to give the server and Sonos fixed IP addresses to work.

Nice and compact
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product was nice and compact but didn't really fit for me. They must be plugged into a wall which meant that they also had to sit on a shelf or piece of furniture.

Problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned this for a few months now and I wouldn't recommend this to a friend or family. For an expensive mesh system like this you expect set and forget, which has been far from my experience. Very first day there were issues with their cloud and setup didn't work properly. Couldn't set it up till the next day. Since then, there have been multiple issues. One of the most infuriating had to be the constantly dropped calls and internet connection while moving from eero to eero. They called this a "TrueMesh" problem, it took them over a month to release a fix while sending out emails touting their "TrueMesh" advantages. This meant wifi calling was useless and moving from one room to another likely ended up in a dropped internet connection. They have since released an update that claims to fix all these issues, but users such as myself are still seeing intermittent issues. You will find proof of this if you look up eero on Reddit.

Complex set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My home is three stories and this product was said to work best in that application. Simply stated, it wasn't. The pods wouldn't connect, they were expensive and support wasn't available. Much better options for less money. Also, I took it back the same day of purchase.

Meh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess they work. The app says it's working but everything in my house is still buffering. We have 300mbps from cox. We bought a new modem as well. All these upgrades and nothing works as well as it did with dish at 12 mbps. We've been working with cox and best buy for 45 days. I hate it all and nothing has been resolved.

Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the money so far! I have not used it for very long but I was doing as good if not better with an airport extreme. Coverage has been fairly good but speed has not. I will give it some more time but if I had it to do over again I would save some money.

Need an App to work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We moved into a much larger home so I thought this would be better for internet reception compared to my old Apple Airport. I had the Geek Squad install this system, and he had to get an App to do it. He also had to create a password. After he left, I tried to get my other devices like iPad, mini iPad, iPhones, and iMac connected, but it did not like the password. After several calls to the Geek Squad guy trying to change the password so I could get the other devices operating to the internet, we were unable to. I then got my old Apple Airport and plugged it . My Airport worked fine throughout the house, so I returned the eero system. I did not like it that I could not just plug it in and play, but rather had to down load an app. Especially since my iPhone was unable to download it and that is why we used the Geek Squad guy's cell phone--his was an Android.

Not impressed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to go along with the 3 pack to get what I thought would be faster than 2 Airport Extremes. The performance was much slower than I expected. The Airports did a better job and were a few hundred cheaper.

Eero Over promised, under delivered
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Checked the reviews and spoke when Best Buy agent about wifi issues and addressing service quality for current Belkin router. They recommend eero. I spent $300 and came home to same experience as the $60 belkin.

Simple, sleek and it works
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gotta say I am impressed with this system. Crazy easy to set up and no more large router with antenna sticking out everywhere in my living room. Like most, I was concerned about the cost of the product for a company/brand that I have never heard of. But I've been tired of my existing Wifi network so I knew I was going to go with a full system rather than a standalone router. My setup: 17 wireless devices and 2 wired over a house that is 3200 sq ft. Modem and router is in the back of the house on the main floor. So upstairs toward the front of the house really struggled with speeds. Range was fine but speeds weren't good enough because those are the bedrooms. My house is newly built in 2015 so the materials in the wall aren't an issue. Just the distance and plus its much better to have a router upstairs so the signal can filter down rather than downstairs trying to send the signal up. However, I don't have a choice because of where my only cable line comes in the house (satellite everywhere else). Over the last year, I've used Airport Extreme, Netgear Nighthawk (all of them) and Onhub. I've been using the Nighthawk X6 the past few months. Powerful, but overkill especially when you still have weak spots in the house. So over the past couple weeks started looking again when I had to start rebooting the router a couple times a week for it to give me my proper speeds. I had 3 choices: Amplifi, Eero and Google Wifi (when it comes out). I didn't consider Orbi or Luma. So I went with Eero. I was up and running in 10 mins. Unplug modem, hook up eero. Power up everything and setup on app. Done. I made my SSID and password the same as my other router and all of the other devices immediately connected without issue. So far my speeds have been great all over the house. Everything loads fast. As I get further away from the router connected to the modem the speeds drop a little but not by much. And that is what makes it better than a regular range extender. You get range AND speed. App is great and simple. Light years ahead of Netgear's Genie app in terms of UI. Almost everything that's out is ahead of that ;) Couple things I wish it had: 1. Additional Ethernet port 2. Ability to create different SSIDs for 5GHZ and 2.4GHZ bands For someone who wants a lot of advanced options that would would find or a Nighthawk router then you probably won't be pleased with this. But I really just wanted something I set up, add a guest network and be done. I don't care about QoS functionality and stuff like that. So I'll see how this continues to work over the next few weeks and update my review accordingly. Really with this, price is the major deal breaker for most. If you can get by that, you should be fine with your purchase.

WiFi Reborn
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out beastly router. Be gone range extender! And amplifier and directional antenna too! Oh, and it pains me to say this, out Apple Extreme. We knew ye well. Too well it seems. Being an Apple Fanboy I admit the following: Eero is an Apple product that was not designed in Cupertino, nor made by, nor marketed by Apple. But you can't tell it's not Apple. From the open box experience to setup, to instant satisfaction at owning the very best, this is it. Totally Apple on 'roids. Expensive it is, but great value in use. My wifi speed is now 125mps everywhere on two stories with thick walls. I have a restaurant just one block away I frequent. I get 16mps there. Note: I also have a good line of sight with no buildings in between. Still impressive? You bet. Eero even updates itself so you always are improving. Note: You have to run Eero for 24 hours after installing to get the full benefits offered. This is so easy to use even a liberal arts major could set it up. If you can justify the initial cost I can promise you there will be no buyer's remorse.

very disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Improvement in coverage and speed is minimal. Unable to print from ipad, iphone or laptop. Seem to have a lot more freezes. Considering the price expected much more.
