Here are some troubleshooting steps that may remedy your issue: 1. The first thing you’ll want to do is figure out whether you’re experiencing slow behavior on multiple devices. If it’s only on one device, simply turn your device’s WiFi off and on again. If that doesn’t work, try rebooting the device. 2. Try power cycling your eeros by unplugging the power cable from the back of your eero, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. This step can sometimes fix connectivity issues. 3. Unplug the power cable from your modem, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If this information doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day!
Monthly subscription for a $400+ router is insane
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shocked that such a high end router this expensive, required a monthly subscription to be able to change some of the most core things like the DNS servers used by the router. All the "protections" require a monthly subscription and required you route all DNS traffic through the servers they specified (a privacy and security red flag). The router hardware seemed impressive. The software is horrible. Eero is owned by Amazon, should have known that privacy was questionable.

I completed my purchase, picked up the main item in-store, and only after that did Best Buy cancel the free Eero — without my consent. Their reason? “Out of stock.” That’s false — it’s still available online and in local stores (including the Nashua store where I picked up the items) right now. This is classic bait-and-switch: advertise a bundle, take your money, then remove part of what you were promised. It’s deceptive, unethical, and customers should not have to fight to get what was advertised. This is illegal. If Best Buy can’t honor its own promotions, why should anyone trust them with a purchase? Being a loyal customer for 20+ years mean nothing to these brick and mortar stores struggling to keep up with the e-commerce space. I will seriously have to consider taking my business elsewhere.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to help maximize your network performance: 1. Verify that your gateway eero is connected directly to your modem using a high-quality Ethernet cable (Cat 6 or higher is recommended for multi-gig speeds) 2. Ensure your modem supports 2 Gig speeds and is properly provisioned by your Internet Service Provider 3. Check that your devices testing the speed have network adapters capable of handling 2 gig speeds. 4. Test speeds using a device connected via Ethernet directly to the gateway eero to eliminate WiFi variables. 5. Restart your entire network: unplug your modem and all eero units, wait 30 seconds, plug in the modem first, wait for it to fully boot, then plug in your gateway eero, followed by any additional eeros.
If these steps don't improve your speeds and you continue experiencing significantly lower performance than your 2 Gig service should provide, reach out to eero Customer Support for further assistance. IPhone issues and limited configurations

After some digging I found that it has been an issue for years, but no company acknowledgment or fix. When you call support they want you to give them access to your network and your device mac addresses. The other thing is that you can only access the router via a mobile app (no browser support) and the options are limited. If you upgrade to a paid subscription I'm sure you can get more options. But I wouldn't recommend it. I've never had to call Asus or Netgear because they sell you a device that you can configure and change whatever you want. Eero on the other hand, shoves ads in your face and limits what you can do unless you subscribe. It's a shame because it's so expensive and no way to return it after 15 days.

One troubleshooting step that I’d recommend trying is to turn off WPA3. To do this you’ll need to do the following: 1. Open the eero app. 2. Select the Settings tab. 3. Select Network settings. 4. Scroll down to the Wireless section then select WPA3. 4. Toggle the feature off. If the issue persists, call eero customer service and inform them of your troubleshooting steps. My cfinity was much more powerfull than the Eero. Now i had to add 2 6 + units just to cover our home! I hate Junk! Dont buy Eero for Sonic. Must be something better i hope.

Some managers will tell their people to put all things on hold that get ordered on a Sunday. I ordered at different times and all on hold until the next day. I ordered at 1 and nope close at 6. I confirmed this with a manager at the El Dorado location. Also if you go in person and the item is on the shelf they will not go grab it and the refund takes 7 days to process. I will never shop at a bestbuy store ever again. Amazon is better. The managers also dont care. I buy alot here but Amazon is just better. They dont charge unless the item is on its way. What a concept. Bestbuy will go out of business in the next couple of years. It’s how they run their terrible stores and also people found better and way better other options.

I don’t really care for the protection service because its slow and laughable and I really don’t like having to use apps as prerequisite and requirement to be able to access my device. I don’t think my router company should need by Geo location or any other information from me honestly for me to use my web browser and type it at IP address and be told I can’t get into my own router is ridiculous. If you buy this because you don’t like complicated tech and that’s understandable, judging by any metrics how much autonomy do you lose by trusting in tech these days?
