Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router's ease of use, impressive Wi-Fi coverage, and strong performance. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and extended range, resulting in a significantly improved home Wi-Fi experience. Great system with amazing range. However, it couldn't get speeds over 500 mbps down. After spending hours and days with tech support in trying to resolve this issue I gave up and went with the Orbi which gives me blazing speeds of 700+ down.

This specific model has issues. I’ve trouble shot with eero, they say it needs to be updated (3 x ) we’ve “updated” it. Then a Geek squad call and they said it needs to be replaced because it’s not communicating correctly. Neither Eero or Best Buy are willing to stand behind this product and or fix it.

    Easy and Fast Mesh Routers

The eero Pro is the easiest and quickest Mesh Wi-Fi network I've used to install and get up and running, it probably took me 15 minutes from unboxing to having all three nodes up and running. In my case, right after setting it up, I turned on bridged mode which turns off DHCP so my Altice One (router-and-modem-and-cable-box in one) can handle the DHCP addressing , meaning all the networks in house (regardless of which I connect to) can talk to each other as well. This turns off some of the advanced features but overall bridged mode functionality appears to be better than it was on my 2-3 year old Linksys mesh network in bridged mode. Copying large files with the eero to network attached storage (which is on wired network) I was maxing out around 52 Megabytes/second (x8= 416Megabit/second) but to be honest the NAS is not an SSD so it may be hitting the limits of the NAS hard drive. When I compare copying that same file over my old Wireless-AC network, I was only getting 10 Megabytes/second (x8 = 80Megabit/second). With this measurement, I can say the eero Wifi 6 (Wireless-AX) network appears to be 'at least' 5 times faster than our old (AC) mesh network. As per distance, with all three nodes placed in the house (2 at opposite sides of downstairs back, one upstairs near front center), anywhere in house I had full speed coverage. Outdoors "overall" it performed "far better" than my old router (for example, near a WiFi sprinkler unit, the eero had 50-80 times the speed). For whatever reason, I did find "one spot" in my yard, in the far corner (edge of yard) where the old Wireless-AC router went about twice the speed (both were relatively slow there). If I moved about 5-10 feet closer to the house (which is more realistic for real use) the WiFi 6 eero pro outperformed the AC network. Fortunately, in my configuration (bridged mode) I can leave all three wifi systems (in my case, about 7 wifi router nodes) up and running, and choose the best for where I am. This is the best router system I have used to-date. I would easily recommend it.

One of the best routers I've ever used. The distance, the connection speed, the amount of devices that can be added, all worth the money.

Great Mesh Option Give it Time to Work....

So I have a 1750 sqft two story home in a crowded neighborhood with about 10 different wifi signals intersecting at all times. Needless to say Mesh is a requirement for good wifi throughout the house. Setup with the Eero was painless and flawless. Download the app, follow the instructions when to plug and unplug things, setup completely perfect the first time. The Router and child nodes are interchangeable and have two ethernet ports each. At first I was a little disappointed with the speeds I was getting but after doing a little research the Eero has a self learning mechanic. It will take a day or two but then it will adjust its own wifi channel to the one with the least interference which really boosted my speeds. I pay for 400/20 line from spectrum and I now get 350-400 in all spots of my house after letting it learn for a few days. I have not had any weird drops or reboots at this time been using for a week or two now. It's a little pricey but after all the headaches I had with google nest (avoid) this was a much needed breathe of fresh air. I do find the array of options in the app a little limited but I knew going in this was not intended for a master network engineer. Currently there is a bug in the app that does not show the wired devices in my network as being online but hoping for an update soon. The app can notify you when a new device connects to the network so you can watch out for unwanted intruders. All in all very happy with this mesh solution and it integrates with my other alexa devices well.

I am a big fan of Amazon products and customer service systems. I purchased the eero Pro 6 AX4200. Good looking product that will probably be excellent after they correct the initial product bugs. I found the following challenges: 1) Echo devices worked poorly and inconsistent: 2) Phillips Hue lighting worked poorly: 3) Echo devices would only play Prime Unlimited Music for 1 to 5 minutes then stop: 4) other devices would not connect to Alexa system.

Lousy tech support and does not even cover a a 3700 sqft house cannot split the bands for connecting ring and other devices that use use the 2.4GHz. Bought the Pr 6 thinking it will have the advertise 6000 soft coverage. Tried all kinds of troubleshooting but signal still keeps fluctuating and dropping Signal drops tremendously as soon as I go out in the backyard. The tech support guy wanted another $119 for a additional beacon to solve the problem. They should send an additional beacon if they think that is the cause of the undercoverage. Paid over $600 for this system and was hoping a better experience from a company backed by Amazon
