Many appreciate the straightforward setup and extended range, resulting in a significantly improved home Wi-Fi experience. Poor Product & Poor Customer Service
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product eero Pro 6 tri-band mesh Wi-Fi 6 system (2-pack) I've been demanding refund for my purchase of this product but Best Buy refuses to respond. Best Buy Installer did not perform before/after testing during installation. Wi-Fi performance is worse after installation. Cannot download eero app for IOS because it requires ios 13.0 or later.

Eero 6 Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup. Awesome performance. If using the built in security features, beware that I had problems opening up google search results because the eero thought it was ads and was blocking them. My wife also complained because some of the games she plays on her phone have ads to you can get stuff and the eero blocked them as well. At first I didn't realize that the problem was the eero. I turned off the ad blocking and now works good.

Amazing -it will (probably ) blow your mind.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I helped my in-laws set up this system to replace their old Netgear nighthawk series 6 router (which was a great router in its day). Lately, their download speeds were in the mid 20s (DOWNLOAD speeds). Pretty pathetic . Of course , their house was a aplit level - technically 4 levels , and the bottom level is where the modem sits. They are Hulu streamers and use their tablets regularly , along with 2 Roku devices . I moved their router to the second from bottom level, and this is the closest to the two main floors as I could get it. So, with a known high reputation for the eero devices, I convinced them to pull the trigger and spend the $600 on this package . I was crossing my fingers that this would improve their signal dramatically enough that they could justify the cost. Setup was a breeze, directly from the eero app-couldn’t be simpler , in fact. What really sold me on this is...download speeds went from mid-20s to low-200s-right away!!! I was floored. Now mind you, everyone’s house layout is different . However , I placed one puck on each of the floors except the bottom floor where the modem is (I ran an Ethernet cable from basement level to next level up. That is where the first eero puck went . Then, one on main living floor and one in the upper level. Same download speeds everywhere In each room with a puck , and even a non -puck room across the hall from a room with a puck . I am sold on this system , and if I didn’t already have a WAP system from Unifi in my home , I would buy this system in a heartbeat!!! The only reason for a “good” rating for value is that it is kind of pricey .

Very impressive!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My primary season for purchasing was additional coverage and speed, throughput. Our house is larger requiring pods to expand coverage, speed. After doing a lot of research on multiple mesh wifi systems, reading user reviews, and watching various YouTube videos I finally decided on Eero 6 Pro. The 3-pack, drop in price also sealed the deal. My setup before purchasing: Xfinity Pro Plan: 1200Mbps (down) 40Mbps (up) with two Xfinity branded "pods" to extend coverage in cold spots. I appreciated the ease of adding the pods to my network, but speeds were at best 8-9Mbps down/1-2Mbps (up) with almost non-existent upload speeds. Immediately after setup of the Eero system, I could see an immediate increase in speeds in far reaches of our home, including the garage. My coverage and download speeds after install are the following: 2nd Floor: 237Mbps (down)/41Mbps (up) 1st Floor: 579Mbps (down)/41Mbps (up) Garage: 272Mbps (down)/41Mbps (up) This may have been overkill buying this system, but with the inclusion of Wi-Fi 6 made more sense and will cover our needs for the next (hopefully) several years. The app was easy to use, easy to setup and controls give you may options. For power users, this may not be enough, but for most this will work just fine. I love the inclusion of the guest network with the ability to use a QR code or text when sharing.

eero Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I received my eero Pro 6 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System a little over a week ago and I must say this thing is very impressive. Glad I received this as I can now expand my Wi-Fi coverage throughout my new condo. Inside the package comes 3 individual eero routers, 3 power cords, and an Ethernet cord. The instructions were very simple to follow in getting my eeros connected and up and running in no time. First, I downloaded the companion eero app from the App Store on my iPhone (the app is also available in the Google Play store for those on Android). Next after creating an eero account, you simply just follow the steps given by the eero app until you have all of your eeros connected. The first one I connected to my cable modem centrally located in the living room, once it was connected (which was seemingly fast), I connected the second one upstairs in the hallway between both of my bedrooms. Then I connected the 3rd eero downstairs in my garage. With each one equally space, I then began testing my coverage by walking from room to room. Coverage is now even stronger out on my deck from the kitchen, as well as outside my front door and outside my garage door downstairs. The build quality and design of the eeros is very nice and sturdy and blends in well with my décor. Very good product.

Bad product, would not buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy, the software blocks sites on it's own even though one has not setup that kind of security. Others face the same challenge and company does not know how to fix.

Nice hardware marginal software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.eero Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Wifi System (3-pack) I had a lot of hope for the erro Pro 2 Wi-fi 6 Mesh System however I think sometimes companies try to make their system too easy and restrict access to that end. The erro comes in a big box and the presentation is very good. You get the three mesh devices, three power adapters, one ethernet cable and some readme cards. The mesh devices have a good heavy feel to them and include a USB Type-C power port and two gigabyte ethernet connections. There are no physical buttons on the Mesh devices. The three readme cards get you started on the actual setup. The first thing you need to do is download software from the Apple or Google play stores so you can connect to the Mesh System through Bluetooth. I was a bit disappointed to see the Android version I would need was only getting a 3.6 rating by there user reviews. For hardware without physical buttons good software is critical. The setup process is actually ok but you never get a sense of what is happening until it's done and you're moving on to the next steps. I always find that frustrating, especially when it takes longer than you expect or doesn’t complete the task at all. By default the erro Pro wants to be your only router and has features for advanced security as a month long trial or for a monthly subscription. For $2.99/mo or $29.99/yr you get an advanced security package, safe filtering, ad blocking, activity center and weekly insights. For $9.99/mo or $99/yr your plan also provides a 1Password account, encrypt.me VPN and Malwarebytes. All of these might be a value add but at this price level I think they could have at least provided a longer trial period. Also without this monthly subscription the default features are really very limited. And this is my biggest gripe with the eero Pro. The default software is very limited and I think in an effort to keep it simple they have neglected more advanced users or those with networks that do not want the erro Pro operating as both the router and Wi-Fi. Unfortunately this limited visibility to the advanced settings of the Mesh System seems to be all too common in today’s consumer networking software. So this gripe isn’t something new that erro is doing. I have a high end router and many wired devices. The erro Pro is capable of handling my network setup and could replace my existing router but I want the advanced feature of my router that the erro Pro hides. To get the erro to work in my system I must first set it up without my router connected and then set the erro Pro in bridge mode. This was very frustrating partly due to the lack of any status update from the software of the changes I made until it was done. After several reboots and almost residing myself that I would need to contact eero support I was successful. So in my setup the erro just replaces the existing Wi-Fi and my existing router is still in use as is my wired network. This process would not have been so frustrating had there been a reset button on the #1 Mesh device or if the software did a better job of reporting what it was doing. But with some trial and error I was able to get this setup exactly how I wanted. The Wi-Fi in my existing router is not Wi-Fi 6 but it is very good and has given me the maximum 320 mbps internet speeds provided by my internet service provider. Recently I have been using the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. The Quest 2 supports WI-Fi 6 and I have been using it for playing game wireless from my PC. So the faster my speeds and the more stable my connection does greatly benefits my gaming quality. My original Wi-Fi reported connection speeds of 866 mbps to the headset. The software connection to the erro Pro 6 reports speeds of 1200 mbps. This is quite a big leap and would not be possible with my original Wi-Fi. The connection has been rock solid and I am very pleased. I have also discovered that my almost two year old Samsung Galaxy S10 supports Wi-Fi 6 as did both of my two gaming computers. One I built this year and one is over two years old. So I am better able to use this faster Wi-Fi than I expected. If the eero Pro would have Pro level software I would have been very pleased. If your needs are plug and play and you don’t mind paying a monthly fee this is a good device. If your needs are total control over your network configuration this is a much harder device to recommend. Yes, it can be adapted to pretty much any network configuration but the software makes this much harder than it needed to be. I would have also liked to have access to the Mesh System from a browser and not only through the cell phone software.

Game Changer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was getting lousy internet signal in the upstairs part of out house. Taylor Fox from Geek Squad was at the home for something else and he recommended this product. He came back 2 weeks later and installed it. The internet signal is now much stronger and uniform throughout the house. Thanks Taylor, this was a game changer!

Nice coverage upgrade, easy enough to set up
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had some very speedy wifi coverage from my existing system, but wanted some of the more seamless use as the recent mesh systems had promised. I used to have some issues with delay and stalls when I went from one room to another with my previous ad hoc linked routers, even though they had the same network ID. One thing I wanted to preserve was my apple branded networked backup system. Before I received, I called support and asked how to integrate my legacy device, and whether it would be possible to maintain my seamless backup system. Luckily, they've set these up to recognize themselves even if there's a "competing" device connected midstream. I was worried that if I patched my Apple device, then connected the downstream Eeros, that something would run afoul and ruin the ease of my local cloud. Thankfully, that wasn't the case, and I was actually able to run both of the secondary units (the ones that aren't connected directly to the modem) from the Apple router with my backup system without adding any noticeable coverage. Essentially, I can go from reading a recipe in my kitchen, to watching a video on my iPad while walking upstairs to my bedroom without a hiccup. I couldn't accomplish that before without turning off my WiFi on my device and spending my cell network data.
