Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router's ease of use, impressive Wi-Fi coverage, and strong performance. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and extended range, resulting in a significantly improved home Wi-Fi experience. However, some users find the price to be high and note that the device can get warm during operation. A few also mention a limited number of Ethernet ports as a drawback.

    Frustrating

I’ve had the eero for three months and I’ve lost connection to the internet four times, pretty frustrating cause you have to unplug everything for a couple of minutes then plug it all back in to get service back. Never had this problem with my router that was like ten years old. On the positive side it did improve the internet speed.

Good but not great. Replacing with Linksys.

Setup was extremely easy. Worked decent but often had to reboot the Eero's in order for the internet to work. Often I'd be right in front of one of the hard wired devices and would get less than 100 Mbps, when I have 1 Gbps internet. Anytime over 20 devices were connected to one performance took a major hit. If you have a minimal number of devices it may work okay for you.

Grateful to our Best Buy Geek Squad for recommending this router - we added a 5th camera to our property and we couldn't believe the improvement in clarity and distance.

I thought it was my Internet service provider that was causing my problems. After I installed l the Eero pro 6 my problems went away. Kinda a pain to set up with AT&T but I figured it out. So Happy.

A step DOWN from the prior generation eero system

When I bought the eero Pro 6, it was to allow me to upgrade to gigabit ethernet, and this product promised that support. So I bought it, replacing my first generation eero system which was working great. No lag, good throughput, etc. When I installed the eero Pro 6, everything seemed to work fine. We have two Control4 systems in our home, and one day we were not able to turn off or adjust the volume on our IP-addressable televisions. I assumed it was an issue with our Control4 systems, and removing and re-adding the televisions to the system configuration by our Control4 dealer addressed the issue. For a while. The problem then returned a few months later, and the same "fix" by our Control4 dealer once again addressed the issue. Somehow, the eero and Control4 systems are not playing nicely together. So I expect this issue to continue until eero addresses it via a firmware update. Most recently, I added some Leviton WiFi controllable light switches in our home. When the 5G band is enabled (which is always, unless you enter troubleshooting mode which disables 5G for 10 minutes), no connection happens on some of our switches. Again, this points to some incompatibility between the eero Pro 6 and yet another device. With two different devices from different manufacturers experiencing problems, I'm wagering that the eero Pro 6 is not handling something properly, causing devices to either fall off the network and not be able to rejoin, or to have some sort of intermittent communication. We also have YouTube TV at our home, and it is a very common occurrence to have shows rebuffering throughout the day. The sad statement from my wife was "I thought this was normal." Sigh. In short, I'm disappointed in the eero Pro 6, and wish I'd kept my prior eero system. I like the technology and the feature promises made by eero for their Pro 6, but promises are meaningless if they are broken.

Terrible customer service. You call and get no where. I’ve never had a root canal but it’s probably better than dealing with eero customer support. They say no to everything. These stupid things get hot to the touch and to them it’s normal. I bought two brand new C3 LG Oled tvs and neither of them can connect to eero. I can connect fine to my neighbors WiFi but not eero. I call for support and get no where and get an attitude for calling. I tell them they are hot and nobody want to replace them. I bought these august 22nd today is November 18th and I’m out $400. Best Buy days it’s outside their return period but well within EEros warranty. But they refuse to help me in anyway. Save your money and frustration anything else has to be better than this. If you buy this beware you are in your own and they are happy with your money in their pockets.

Not suitable for multilevel homes or large homes.

The equipment is attractive and compact. However, if you have a home larger than 2,000 square feet this device will not work. Or, if you have a multilevel home, it won’t work. And, if you have thick walls, it won’t work. This equipment is geared towards single level 2 bedroom apartments, or small homes.

    Awful

Avoid at all costs - Eero caused weeks of frustration with wifi in my home. The connection of wifi to my devices would randomly disconnect — sometimes happening 3X in one hour. I called their support multiple times and despite heeding their every recommendation, the problems persisted. Really feel this was a huge waste of money and time purchasing this product.
