Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router's ease of use, impressive Wi-Fi coverage, and strong performance. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and extended range, resulting in a significantly improved home Wi-Fi experience. However, some users find the price to be high and note that the device can get warm during operation. A few also mention a limited number of Ethernet ports as a drawback.

Excellent wifi coverage/Zwave hub is useless

Works well in a 1500 sq ft. L shaped home with plaster walls. I've always had to use wifi-extenders in the house to get coverage, and even then it was barely acceptable. The eero Pro 6 (3-pack) is giving me great coverage throughout my home, and I don't have to change access points as I move through the house. The built-in z-wave hub is useless at this point for support a PHilips smart bulb, and both online documentation and tech support have outdated information. Currently having to use a discrete Philips hub to get things to work.

Not enough spare LAN ports for my needs

I really wanted to install a mesh network in our home and these look great and have fantastic reviews, but I need four spare LAN ports in my primary router (in addition to the WAN port) to accomodate several ethernet cables running to security & other non-wireless devices throughout the house. Eero only has two lan ports per unit, so when you use one of the three eero units as your primary router in my case plugged into the FIOS ONT), you're left with only one spare LAN port, not four. And while eero does give you the option of using the eero units in conjunction with your FIOS router, you have to operate eero in "bridge mode" and you lose most of the eero benefits & functionality. Regaring connection speed...it was okay, but I got much faster data downloads & uploads from the TP Link AX5400 I was using (and went back to). Really wanted this to work, setup was super-easy, and I'm sure for a lot of folks it's awesome, but it just didn't fit my needs.
