After all updates, and assuring yourself that there is nothing in your network that has power and may cause an IP conflict, this Eero will work perfectly well. I used in my parents brick and mortar home. Signal is the strongest ever. No drops. I have wifi in the way back corners and front bathroom where we had none with prior Samsung mesh and repeaters. You really have to turn everything off, then isolate eero on the network, then turn on modem. Once you achieve this, all IP conflicts will go away.

Bought for a feature, ended up failing miserably

I will keep this in simple terms form someone that might not be too tech savvy. To give an reference for the way they are used, Coverage area House, Shop, Garages(everything combined about 7000 sq ft and multiple levels) The devices them self work rather well(combination of 6's and 7's), fairly easy to setup, mesh works well allowing me to walk around the property without noticing any drops in service. Also covers the yard pretty well, annoyingly enough that when listing to something in my truck when coming home, my phone will try and connect to the WiFi and stop what I am listening to, grrr, lol. I think in the three plus years that I have had them setup I had to reset the entire system once or twice other than times when my internet provider caused them to act up. One of the reasons that I went with EERO vs other option was because of the eero plus option giving me access to a internet backup option in the event that my internet service provider decided to have a problem "providing" service. It has come in handy several times. This brings us to this evening, when poo hit the fan. My service provided has something going on that is preventing me from using my normal access to internet. So I went to turn on one of my hotspots so that i could use the minimum essential function that I need(want), I know that this limits me to what ever service my phone has available somewhere in the 4G or on a good day 5G service. But enough to keep things like smart home functions working. Well this is where the problem comes in, when attempting to connect the hotspot the eero app on my phone was not working, okay so lets try second phone - no joy there either, okay let go to the tablet-you got it nodda. Tried troubleshooting for about an hour trying different things like power off and then back on, redownloaded the app, cables connected and disconnected. Nothing worked so I tried talking to tech support from EERO. The person I talked to was a nice person. After they understood the problem that I was having we tried multiple methods of making things connect. we worked for about 3 hours with no success. They were talking with the next level of service and still no luck, the final word from the higher up tech support was literally to use my phone hotspot to connect my desktop to the internet at what ever speed i could get and succumb to the fact that the EERO PLUS INTERNET BACKUP would not connect and there was nothing that they could come up with to resolve the issue. All in all, I like the system overall but when you buy something for a function that they claim to provide and when it is needed that feature fails miserably. It make you seriously wonder if you spent too much money to buy seven units to cover your property. For a considerably less amount of money I could have went with several other options and ended up in the same unfortunate circumstance, however I would not have been so disappointed in my choice. So if you want a system that covers your property pretty well, I would say they function well in that aspect. (there are several cheaper options that are less expensive), but if you want them for the backup ability for when your normal internet poofs out, I would not recommend them.

      Dear JonathanB,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive and detailed review of the eero Pro 6E system. Your real-world experience provides valuable insights for both potential customers and our team.

      The Good Points You Highlighted:

Excellent coverage across 7,000 sq ft
      Reliable mesh performance
      Easy setup
Generally stable system over 3+ years

      The Critical Issue:

Complete failure of the eero Plus internet backup feature when needed most, which was a key factor in your purchase decision

We understand your disappointment, especially given that:

You invested in multiple units specifically for this feature
You spent considerable time (3+ hours) with tech support
No solution was provided for a advertised feature

Your conclusion is particularly fair - acknowledging the system's strong mesh performance while warning others about relying on the backup feature. You're right that this represents a significant value proposition issue given the premium price point of the system.

We'll forward your detailed feedback to our product team for review, as this kind of feature failure needs to be addressed. AmazonDevices

This is a step up from the standard router that our internet company gave us to use. Definitely worth getting and we will be getting the extender to fully cover our house.

If you’re looking for a plug‑and‑play mesh system, with easy install, smart‑home integration (Zigbee/Thread), and strong performance especially in well‑wired setups then the Eero Pro 6E can deliver an excellent user experience. We put one in the master bedroom and another one at the basement.

I have Eero already, but they were 7 years old. I had a newer Firestick so I needed to upgrade. My older one kept scrolling and was not able to keep up. This one does way better.

I have a 2 story house, 3000sq ft. With my ATT Fiber router (centrally located upstairs) I was seeing 10-20 mbps throughout downstairs and even less outside where I have Wi-Fi cameras installed. I measured connectivity with each of these that I activated. Even with one, coverage and speed was dramatically increased throughout the house. That only got stronger with each of the three I installed. Now the slowest speed I see anywhere is 300+mbps at the farthest points away from the main router. I can see now why the ATT installer recommended EERO mesh over. The built in Wi-Fi.

One one the most reliable mesh router systems I have ever used. I have had the original 6E system since 2021 and so far this has been the most stable system I have owned. I bought the Max 7 but returned it for this as I rather have something stable.

Hi Mushka, Thank you for providing feedback about your experience with the eero Pro 6E. Each eero Pro 6E router provides coverage up to 2,000 sq. ft. The layout of your home and the materials used in its construction are likely the reason for the need for additional eeros. Strategically placing your eeros is the single most important step you can take to ensure your system provides fast, reliable WiFi to every room in your home. Here are some tips to follow: 1. Place eeros where they can talk to each other. 2. Place eeros on a hard, flat surface. 3. Keep your eeros out in the open. 4. Whenever possible, aim for direct line of sight between eeros. The fewer the walls between your eeros, the better. If this information doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877)659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day! AmazonDevices

I really like my eero Mesh system. I have a somewhat large house (two-story with a basement) and a single wireless router wasn't cutting it and relays or separate access points were problematic to setup and maintain. The setup on these was simple and the coverage provided by the three units covers my entire house (and even some of my backyard). The biggest issue I have is that, if you want their integrated security suite and other related features, you must purchase an annual subscription. The smartphone app is intuitive and easy to use as well.
