As someone who's played through all the Souls games, believe me when I say this game has some whack damage scaling in the 2nd half. It's an open-world Souls game, and if that appeals to you (or you're a Souls vet), you probably own the game already... Just be prepared for enemies to break dance on you for your entire health bar the more you progress.

Excellent open world by From Soft. Fantastic gameplay and lore. Like all FS titles, you will get murked by gravity and camera angles but that's part of the charm.

Still feels a bit too soon to say whether it's one of the best of the generation or not, but it's certainly one of the best games of the past year. The game borrows heavily from Breath of the Wild in its own world design and organic discovery of bosses, side characters and landmarks. It goes a step further than BotW by having more distinguished, unique dungeons and castles to explore, and the Souls combat formula adapts beautifully, feeling more versatile in its options of character building than in any previous title. Bloodborne is still my favorite FromSoft game, but this is still a highly commendable release.

Think of breath of the wild meets dark souls, if you love open world, lore, a challenge this is it!

Best game ever. I have over 400 hours and on my second play through. After i beat the game the first time it gives the option to keep playing or restart new game plus. In new game plus you get to keep all weapons, armor, and a lot of other important stuff from other play throughs. Each new game runes per kill goes up and difficulty goes up slightly but barwly noticable since you get to start new whith all your progress feom before.

I cannot deal with how great this game is. I dream about it, wake up looking forward to it. I can feel the hesitation in almost finishing the game. I just had this on for over 6 hours. I haven't gotten that lost with any other game, ever. Usually a 2 hour gaming session is enough. This is different. I don't want to get carried away and brand this as my favorite game lf all time...heck, i dont even think it's best FromSoft title(*cough* *cough* Bloodborne)...BUT, it's been an incredible experience and no doubt one of the best titles this year!

Love the game great graphics. I was going to go down a star cause i never got my preorder dlc. Buts its not the game companys fault its best buys. Just like i bought with curbside pick up but when i get to the store it says on my app you can get it curbside please go in store to pick up.

Excellent game, from software always make great games but this time they did it perfect, the game is open world and it is a masterpiece.

Great game! New to Soulsbourne games? No problem here, the open world environment allows for grinding to tip the difficulty scale.

Elden Ring can be summed up as Dark Souls meets Breath of the Wild. It plays similar to the other "Souls" type games that From Soft has made. The game has a dedicated jump button, similar to Sekiro. You eventually gain access to a spectral horse type creature that you can use to ride. There is a day/night cycle, with special enemy encounters depending on the time of day in the game. There is a free PS5 upgrade with the PS4 version. I dropped it down a star because the game can be challenging, which could be off putting for gamers that are easily frustrated. Also, there are some new mechanics that I thought could have been explained a little better without having to look for help online. With that said, I think this may be the best game From Soft has made to date. It is a must buy for From Soft "Souls" series fans.

Easily one of my favorite games. Occasionally challenging but in the best way. Remembering to breathe and take a break if I hit one of those points was important lol

Great open world game that’s difficult but manageable

I've put 93 hours into this game so far and it's incredible. The multiplayer functionality isn't very good, but that's not really why you play these games. The world and its characters are incredible, the combat is excellent, and it's the most accessible Fromsoft game to date. Highly recommend.

absolutely superb. best game I've ever played. definitely a challenge but that's part of the fun

First time in a long time that I've been this addicted to a game. Been playing over 40 hours so far and 3/4 of that has been nothing but explanation. There's so much to do, see, so many bosses to fight and side story to find. Definitely going to be playing this several times over. It's just too big to get everything in several playthroughs.
