Definitely go for the platinum for this game. The game isn't linear, so don't torture yourself in stormveil. Also jumping can be a valid dodge for certain boss attacks, we're not in dark souls anymore.

At first I was skeptical about the game since I have played everything from the souls genre and a lot of the mechanics from other games were just given a different name but in the end it's not a bad game by all means, I just do not think it's a masterpiece like many people say it is more accessible which is absolutely fine by me! Games are for everyone to enjoy.

A truly awesome experience. Be sure to allot plenty of time to explore this massive game. The challenge level is accessible, but will require novice players to exhibit great patience and mastery of combat.

My expectation's going into this game were low, but I was shocked by the sheer scale and attention to detail with this game. The only other game with this much content on disc might be the Witcher 3.

I have been waiting for Elden Ring for forever but didn’t preorder until the last minute. Was able to snag a preorder Wednesday night and it still got here bright and early Friday morning. Great service!

I would have given 5 stars but I didn't realize I'd be getting the floor mopped by every enemy I encountered. I thought this was gonna be like Skyrim. Nope. Now it's a dust collector

This is my first souls game and I LOVE THIS GAME! The world is amazing and I have actually beaten many bosses. It’s the most accessible souls game for new people. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed

Elden Ring has an expansive, beautiful, and interesting world to explore. However, the combat is very "meh" at best, and downright frustrating at worst. This is coming from someone who played hundreds of hours of Dark Souls 1 and 2. I played a few hours of Dark Souls 3, but I felt 3 was a huge step back in every way but graphics, compared to the previous games. Unfortunately, most of Elden Ring's systems are identical Dark Souls 3... (fast, "spazzy" enemies; equally fast bosses with huge health pools and multiple phases; player defenses are largely determined by level and not gear; most attacks will stagger lock the player, poise is nigh useless).
If you enjoyed Dark Souls 3, you'll likely enjoy this. However, if you didn't like Dark Souls 3, I recommend buying this on sale just to experience the world.

Read the online reviews exhaustively if you're not already familiar with this game. I'm not sure I like it, to be honest. It has very limited coop...very limited. Like almost none.

First off, the game is good overall. Nothing much to add there. It’s enjoyable overall. My gripe is the perfect 10s, the masterpiece rating everyone is seeing. What game are they playing? This is not a masterpiece or a 10. I’d give it a solid 8. But if you are new to Souls or Sekiro or simply debating to get this, wait for a sale. If you’ve ever played those games and never continued from frustration, wait for a sale. Nothing about this screams perfection especially with all the graphical issues on all systems. That alone should not warrant a perfect score and makes me wonder how dishonest and paid these critics were. I would avoid unless your a deep fan of this genre. Even then I’d say it’s worth a wait for a sale price. Too many good games to play right now and coming up.
