Awesome game! Got an amazing deal on black friday!

It may not be for everyone as this RPG genre is similar to Dark Souls in difficulty. However, Elsen Ring seems a bit less ounsihing and fantastic to what I’ve played so far. This game recriced a 98 metacritic score which is saying something and beat God of War Ragnarok for Game of thr Year in Video Game Awards.

Initial frustration with how poor the performance is (even when set to performance over quality) considering how lackluster the graphics are. For me it was generally just a boring and entirely forgettable experience. I'm clearly not the demographic for this game and mistakenly considered the high praise it's received without fundamentally understanding the "why". Unless you're a fan of Souls games and their mechanics, this would likely not be a good investment.

I went into this game thinking, "I've heard it's hard, but surely I can handle it." Nope. There is no easier mode. There is no way to ease into it. The graphics are decent, but the gameplay isn't all that fun. I died 50+ times and I never made it out of the opening area. I wish I could return this game, but I'm out $60 instead. I wanted to like this game so much, but nope.

Got this game as a gift and it's actually pretty awesome, still getting use to but it's interesting

Fantastic game. The free roam aspect changes the entire premise of a Soulslike game, allowing much more fun to be had when you hit a hard boss battle. Can't beat it? Look around the map to find another thing to do until you're confident. So good.

As good as advertised, lots of fun to play. Can suck up lots of your time so be ready for that!

Good game but takes a lot to upgrade. Also don’t get why the bosses are super leveled up. Makes the game harder than it needs to be as soon as you start

I don’t if it’s just me, but I just couldn’t get into this game. Slow and clunky controls and I didn’t think the graphics were all that great.

I love every FromSoftware game that came before this in the Soulsborne series, but this is an unbalanced mess. I won't go into details - just google it and you'll see. I almost quit the game multiple times because of the poor balancing issues. Then patch 1.03 broke what little I had going for me to keep me alive. FromSoftware has jumped the shark and are making games hard just to be hard now, rather than a challenging and rewarding experience.

They sent me an opened game with missing printouts. Disc was fine though. But CS rep confirmed it should have been new..

If you like the Souls series then you will love this one. Not a game for people who don't wanna grind to get past a single area. Not an easy casual game but one of the hardest you will ever play.

Game is great - Best Buy's ability to deliver a day 1 pre-order is horrible as it arrived the following week. This review is to focus primarily on that.

I got this game cause of the hype for it but to be honest it has not lived up to it

I am not a fan of games that are difficult just for the sake of making the experience last longer. On top of that I was not a fan of the camera angle, especially after you locked onto an enemy. The whole game looked better to me in trailers

Loved Bloodborne and sekiro but open world makes this less fun for me
