No complaints. This capture catches my gameplay with no frame drops or lag while streaming. That is why I got it after all. So excellent product.

Works great as expected! Bought to use mainly for my camera for livestreaming but I'm sure it will come in handy for connecting gaming consoles in the future.

After using those $20 capture cards I couldn’t take it anymore the picture was not as good as people say. I like spending less but the extra money I spent for this capture card was worth it

Just a heads up, You need a USB 3.2 port to record 4k. USB 3.1 will get you 1440 recording. I didn't read that prior to purchasing it, but Im still happy with it. I bought it to record my PS5. I chose to use this over the console's internal recording for file type compatibility. The 4K, 60fps pass through is solid, and the 2K recordings I'm getting (USB 3.1) are a step up from the 1080p recordings I had with my older HD60s. It works in OBS, but I don't stream very often so I've been using the Elgato Capture Software, and it's a reasonably easy process.

The Elgato 4KX—a sequel that stumbled. Pros: 4K 120Hz Passthrough: No doubt, the 4KX flexes its muscles here. If you’re all about high refresh rates, it’s an upgrade from the HD60X. Sleek Design: Elgato’s minimalist aesthetic still shines. It’ll look slick on your streaming setup. Cons: Downgraded Capture Utility: Brace yourself. The 4KX’s capture utility feels like it took a wrong turn. Clunky interface, missing features—it’s like they traded elegance for confusion. Ultrawide Update Debacle: The 4KX worked flawlessly until the dreaded Ultrawide update. Now? It’s a paperweight. Audio Passthrough Woes: Great audio passthrough? Not so much. Choppy playback? Check. And then tech support’s magic trick: “Delete the Capture utility and use OBS directly.” Result? Fantastic playback, but audio lag that’ll make FPS games a headache. You see the action before you hear it. Monitor Mix-Up: Here’s the secret: Don’t game on the same monitor you’re streaming from. Connect your PC to the capture card, play on another screen. If only Elgato made that clear, we’d be singing five-star praises. Audio Delay Nightmare: From a 2/3 second delay to a horrendous 7/10 seconds—yikes! It’s like time travel, but not the fun kind. Streaming Hiatus: I feel you. Haven’t streamed in a month because of this audio circus. Maybe test stream quality during off days and take time away from streaming? Verdict: Proceed with caution, fellow streamers. The 4KX isn’t the hero we hoped for.
