Very difficult to get any support from this company. We have tried on regular HP PC as well as Apple and can get their support teams but the actual company that makes the product keeps recommending different FAQ, etc. to resolve.

I needed something to allow my DSLR camera to stream via my laptop to my Youtube channel. This did not work for what I needed even though it claims to.

We use it for live streaming at our church. It worked for one service then didn't work anymore. We lost a Sunday of streaming. So I returned it and purchased the HD 60 S+

The Video stutters as if being ran in a very slow system. The intended streaming laptop has an i7 processor with nvidia GTX 960m 2 gigs video ram, 8gigs system ram . The gaming laptop has a 10th generation i7 with 16 gigs of system ram with an RTX nvidia 2060 video card 6gigs on it. I tried reversing the connection and it says the stronger system don't even qualify to run it. I

My Mac wouldn’t recognize it unless I installed its software. So I returned it and bought another that I could just simply plug in and use my software.

Don’t waste the money

Still doesn’t work says the “drivers are unable to be installed” I’ve uninstalled the whole thing and re installed countless times along with manually installing the drivers from elgatos website. Nothing. Watched countless YouTube videos and even called the customer service line and they were unable to resolve the issue they had no idea why it wouldn’t work. Returning this product and not buying the elgato line again.

In trying to figure out the hookup I had to go through 3rd party people, went to el gato's chat and it kept referring me to their Q/A which didn't address my problem then kept me in that loop...returning it, keep your sanity, but who knows? Maybe you can hook it up and it works. Before you buy, just go to their website and look at their error codes..that should tell you enough about it...they don't even offer solutions for their codes.

DISCONNECTS OFTEN

In December- a mere 2 months later it stopped working. It connects for a little bit and then disconnects completely. This is honestly unacceptable for a nearly $200 item. I saw the reviews of people dealing with the same issue and assumed that they must have got a faulty el gato. Now it seems like they're faulty out of the box :(

I wanted to contact support to help before trying to return it but after trying everything with support it still doesn't work. I now can't return it because it's outside the return period. I would recommend not buying Elgato if this is the experience you are going to have.
