Love the new Elgato! Great for streaming games on console would recommend.

the elgato is a powerful device. It was a bit confusing and annoying to set up at first. If you are using you laptop, turn on the AC because your laptop will burn hot. Have the laptop elevated near the ac so cold air can pass over it. What I do now since its the winter I just put my laptop near an open window. But regardless Its great, I have not tested the 4k quality on this thing but it captures the game quality really well.

I do a fair amount of streaming on PS4. My HD60 was having a hard time keeping up, due to its age, so it was time for an upgrade. The HD60 S+ was easy to connect and I had very little issues adding it to my streaming software. I love the "zero latency" this capture card has between my PS4 and PC, so there's no adjustments I have to do to match up audio/video syncing. Recommended!

I bought this with the intention of replacing my AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus, but despite the higher price it suffers issues that my AVerMedia did not. The first thing I noticed was that any time I use my HDMI switcher while in OBS, the capture completely freezes and the audio stops until I restart, while my AVerMedia card smoothly transitioned between every input. As if that weren't bad enough, when I'm using it to capture my PC, just CHANGING THE RESOLUTION results in a freeze! How unreliable is that? I use that PC in 4K, but because it's a bit older, some games only run well at 1080p. So just launching a game at a different resolution will result in the capture completely crashing, and so will exiting out of said game. This is despite the fact that I always and only capture in 1080p60. In short, the device is completely unreliable if using an HDMI switcher or capturing through a PC, and only works well with single game consoles that never change resolution. This alone is a complete dealbreaker, and I'll likely end up returning it soon. I was also disappointed the 3.5mm port on the device isn't actually a headphone port, which I assumed when I bought it, but that was my own mistake and not one that would affect the score of this review. Other than that glaring issue, the device mostly works fine. Great quality with very infrequent audio desyncs (I had to turn up the saturation a bit to make the colors look correct). But if you want a device that doesn't totally freak out and give up at the slightest resolution or input change, go with AVerMedia, because this one's a total nonstarter. I would have assumed it was an issue with capture cards in general if not for my previous capture card that functioned completely perfectly with this same setup.

Works amazing would recommend to anybody looking to stream from a different machine.

Easy to set up, works flawlessly. I only wish it were maybe $50 cheaper.

Elgato support is excellent. I had problems getting my Nintendo Switch screen on my iMac that were solved to my satisfaction in a very timely manor. ONE CALL. NO WAITING. So far I have used this to record with my Panasonic LUMIX G7, GoPro Hero 8, Nintendo Switch (2 of them, one at a time). Everything that I have used that had an HDMI output has worked flawlessly. I am constantly finding new uses for this device.
