Does not work with streamlabs OBS!

High price for subpar performance

I have an 1800 dollar laptop by Microsoft that is only about a year and half old. When connected to my Elgato, any content that I attempted to record would freeze, chop, or just plain blackout. It would receive fine, but just couldn’t record. My advice: buy the one that everyone else has. Price tag does not indicate true performance quality.

Capture Card

Suffice to say I returned it. Possibly it was defected, but really couldn’t set it up. Tried everything to get it to work. Sure other similar products aren’t defected. It’s still a great capture card from what I heard of. Just be wary as it this capture card requires 2 HDMI cables; and elgato only provides 1.

The card only requires one HDMI cable, the other one would be for you to add to an existing monitor or TV so a 2nd cable would be redundant for most users. I have almost always used the Elgato HD60s and have had a number of problems with the capture card not displaying properly. However, after a lot of messing around I FINALLY got it to work properly. After many months of high quality streaming I wanted to upgrade to the Elgato HD60s+ for the 4k pass-through. The capture card is advertised as ‘user friendly’ and ‘plug and play... This could not be farther from the truth. The issues from the previous model are absolutely still there accompanied by a multitude of new issues, including audio, video and EVERYTHING between not working properly. Have not regretted a purchase this badly ever in my life. DO NOT BUY

I connected it to my brand new MacBook Pro M1 Max computer and I STILL had very choppy, stuttering results on my output. I was extremely disappointed and returned the device. I was very surprised that it did not perform to my expectations. Many have bad success with this device but for myself, it just didn’t work out unfortunately.

Difficult to use

It’s broken it will not turn on, does not display my gameplay, I’ve been going through every site and video online and nothing it’s a rock at this point in time. The fact there is no way of getting it exchanged or returned very upsetting honestly because I purchased this specific one from the store because as the Best Buy employee explained it was “better” and now it’s worthlesss...

I CANNOT FIND THE SOLUTION ANYWHERE NOT EVEN FROM ELGATO CUSTOMER SERVICE THEMSELVES. THIS CAPTURE DEVICES WORKS FINE WHEN I AM CAPTURING THE XBOX ONE GAMES I AM PLAYING. HOWEVER THE PROBLEM OCCURS AS SOON AS I TRY TO LOAD UP ANY ONE OF MY GAME PASS GAMES. FOR EXAMPLE I WILL LOAD UP NBA 2K20 AND IT WILL SEEEM LIKE EVERYTHING IS FINE. THEN MY SCREEN WILL TURN BLACK; BOTH MY TV SCREEN AND THE GAME CAPTURE APP SCREEN IS BLACK. FEELS LIKE I CANT EVEN CREATE CONTENT FOR HAL OF MY GAMES
