The Ember is designed to stabilize an already hot drink down to your specific set temp (so it's not too hot or too cold) and isn't designed to heat up liquid - for best results, we recommend pouring in hotter than your set temp, around 165°F and above. Luke warm at best. I got it for my Mom to keep her morning cup of coffee hot. For her it was not even close. Barely warm.

Coffee stays hot for maybe an hour then need to transfer to another cup to heat in microwave. Very disappointed

Fun Gadget for Coffee Lovers

I personally drink black coffee and always struggled with either burning my mouth or drinking lukewarm/cold coffee. The Ember keeps the coffee at the perfect temperature for me. Two gripes with this product though. First, if you're keeping the coffee warm, the battery is gonna go kind of fast. You'll definitely need to charge it while drinking your coffee if you're someone who has a cup of brew with you all day. Second, is the app, it's a bit of a nightmare to use. The mug will disconnect from a very short range and doesn't use the standard Bluetooth connection function on your phone. It NEEDS the app to connect to anything, which is bad if you separate your phone and coffee for any amount of time, as you'll have to hold down the power button on the bottom of the mug and repair it to your ember app. I'm overall very happy with the mug though, the material is nice, it helps cool the coffee faster, and keeps it warm and enjoyable to drink.

It definitely keeps the liquid warm when on the cradle but after about an hour my coffee tastes burnt. I am in and out of my office all morning so I do leave my coffee there for several minutes at a time. However, it does the job.

She’s always leaving her coffee sitting around the house and it gets cold so then she has to warm it up in the microwave. She loved that fact that she doesn’t have to worry about her coffee getting cold anymore!

Favorite Coffee Mug!

We wash ours by hand and have not had the issues the other reviewers have experienced. We keep the setting at 150 degrees and our coffee is hot with every sip. Going to purchase two more for gifts.

The regular mug had only kept the beverage warm for about 15 minutes while the coffee in the ember stayed at me desired temperature. Highly recommend for those who like to sip on their coffee and not down it in 10 minutes.
