Broken software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the concept and the feel of the mug. But it's unusable due to terrible software. The app has only one star due to issues. I've had mine for 7 months and have had to repair my cup to the app every single time I use it. It was a workaround but I could use it. Now, the app won't even open. I've deleted it and reinstalled it and it still says that the app can't open and to close. I've cleared cookies I've done everything. I've contacted support. So now I have a $120 mug that cools off after a few minutes like a normal mug since I can't use the app and it will not heat without it.

Avoid this one

I get about 15 minutes worth of the product working before it indicates it's out of battery. Also, the software is VERY GLITCHY. My app recently stopped working because it stated that a software upgrade was needed. When I clicked to update the software on Google play, nothing happened.

Not worth the money.

Will fill to very top and hard to move or take first sip without spill. No room for cream!!! Good for a person who drinks from a pot. Doesn't last long without being on the coaster. Can't take coaster everywhere u go!!! Started drinking coffee at 7:45 this morning. It's only 9:30 and it no longer heats up. This is after a FULL charge. Not worth $130.

Honestly way overpriced, I would not even take it for $10 and I don't know why I bought this STUPID HORRIBLE product.

Check Better Business Bureau Complaints First

Ember did a firmware update that now prevents the mug from working when off the charger. Customer service will initially respond and give you task after task to "fix" it. I think they do this to get you to give up. I provided Ember with great detail of the problem to help them fix it but now they won't even respond.

Great product!

This product does not require the cup to be on a pad to stay warm because the battery is in the cup! Once charged it maintains the heat for 90 minutes. Unless you download the instructions to an iPhone, there are no directions. I had to go to Geek Squad to learn how to use.

BUYER BEWARE - NO WARRANTY SUPPORT

You have been warned that you arr about to spend $100 on something that is likely going to become just a regular coffee mug.

Production Issue with Charging Coaster

Read reviews on Ember's own site. Countless users report that the coaster fails, and the replacements Ember sends also fail within months. Once the manufacturer addresses this production issue I will become a customer again.

The cup looked ceramic and it should have been more clear about microwave use, as the cire caused severe damage!
