It is an amazing gift and item if it can be used to its full potential.

And you can't buy the lid separately. Its apparently a known issue as well. Bought it as a gift, was irritated that it broke so soon (about 2 and a half months).

Not a good experience

I bought this for my girlfriend for x-mas because she always makes coffee and it's cold when she finally gets to it. This would only stay charged for less than a hour and they want you to purchase a different base for all day use for an extra $40 on top of the $150 you just spent, I would not recommend this product to anyone. She took it back.
