It doesn’t work or stay hot. We tried to return it for a refund and they wouldn’t allow it without a protection plan. What a waste of $150

Doesn’t work very well

This has a touch sensor that is unresponsive at best. More often than not the mug seems to turn off. Very disappointing. Save your money and don’t buy this.

The only one thing my son liked about this mug was the digital logo that appeared on side of it.

Not worth the price

Has a really cool app to view and control settings (including an Apple Watch App). I love coffee, and it always goes cold in a regular cup, so this is the best invention this year for me. I have both the travel mug and ceramic cup versions and got them both at Starbucks.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this $150 mug with the expectations that this will exceed my experience with a standard Thermos or Contigo travel mug. But, all I've discovered is a very expensive solution to a simple problem. Over-enginneering is the catch-phrase that comes to my mind. Mug is the size of a 16oz mug, but only holds 10oz. I poured my keurig brewed (for temp comparison) coffee straight into my mug. Turned my mug on after about 45min to make sure my piping hot coffee doesn't get luke-warm after this time, so I set temp to 134°F (Ember recommended coffee temp) and watched as the coffee went from 91° (went cold faster than most mugs) and to 129° before the battery died. I kid-you-not, the battery was totally drained in about 15min of warming back up to 134°. It actually never reached it before it died on me. Plus, when I rolled my eyes at this failure, I popped the lid and got sprayed with hot coffee due to the building pressure of the rising heat. Now, it's an hour into my work day and I have a $150 coffee mug that doesn't keep my coffee hot. I own Ember's ceramic tempature control coffee cup and that thing is 110% worth the $60ish I paid for it, but I would even pay $30 for this Ember travel mug. I'm going to return this mug back to Best Buy, get my money back and buy a nice Contigo travel mug that's matte black and keeps my coffee warmer for 4-6 hours. Saving me $120 to better spend elsewhere.

This is not a coffee heater or something that just keeps your coffee hot. So long story short, this is not supposed to heat up your coffee. This cup actually lowers the coffee temperature to the desired one, between 130-150 (Where you wouldn't burn your mouth) and then keeps it there for about 1:30 hours. And that's plain amazing, because regular coffee cups, have very hot coffee in the first 10 mins, okay coffee for the next 10 mins and then cold coffee for the rest of the time. With this product you have the same coffee throughout. p.s some people say that it doesn't stay longer than 1 hour, the truth isif you are a true coffee person, you will have finished the coffee a lot before the battery runs out
