Solution worse than the problem.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So my wife likes hot coffee. REALLY hot coffee. I got this thinking it would keep her coffee hot, rather than having her micro it 3-6 times while she drinks it. First, setting the temperature is hit or miss- sometimes it works, sometimes not. We left it sitting on the charger and not only did it go to 117 (that is BAD!), but it lost charge! It seems to charge on its own schedule. But the biggest defect is the "spilless" top. Yes, it is pretty spilless- I held it upside down full of coffee to get the serial number when contacting tech support regarding ours (no reply yet, but is only 24 hours on Christmas week- cut them some slack!). But when you pop the lid open, it ALWAYS sprays just a bit of coffee. EVERYWHERE. Pop IS the key word- it POPS and sprays. So dont wear white when using this. It also takes 10 minutes to get from 130 (where our coffee maker makes coffee) and 145 (where my wife likes it). She feels it is easier to just micro it and have coffee in 30 seconds. Finally, the price. OH MY GOD! 150 for a coffee mug? REALLY? Once the uniqueness wears off, you will realize this is not that. Honestly, if the mug were 50 and the travel mug 80 it would be overpriced... Our final evaluation- this solution is NOT worth the hassle factor not the price- the solution is more of a hassle than our problem.

Posted .Thanks for the review and sorry for the experience! Ember was designed to moderate hot temperatures between a desired range of 120˚F -145˚F! The 360° push to open lid is leak proof. We have received feedback from customers and are always listening to ways to improve the experience. I hope the support team was able to assist you, but if not please reach out again so we can find a solution quickly.

Terrible execution to a otherwise interesting idea
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*charge only lasts just under two hrs. I tried two different mugs, both were the same. *they did not bother to insulate it, so when the heat goes out, it cools off QUICK. (You can feel the heat escaping while it’s on) *the lid squirts a bit of coffee out every time you open it. *the touch controls are finicky and don’t always work on the first touch, which gets annoying. *im sure you can get better performance out of a really nice insulated mug, which would still be far cheaper than Ember, and you wouldn’t have to charge it.

Overprices. Not durable and bad customer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great with features but not durable and it will definitely have issues within a year of purchase. Once it crosses one year , warranty stops and the support lures you into buying next gen mug2 with a word `DEEP DISCOUNT` but essentially you will be paying full price for a mug. $89 without lid(20$) and without coaster(50$) and also without charging adapter (~ 20$). QUALITY: Touch and feel seems premium but overall i would term it as fragile VALUE: Definitely over prices Ease of use: Some of the features that mug has does not work as expected. Ex: auto turn on when liquid poured will not work always and by the time you realize , your coffee is cold as it has almost no insulation what so ever. Even when you cautiously remember to turn on , it wont turn on and you would have to turn the bottom dial , keep pressing the logo touch and also turn the mug upside down, or place it on coaster for few seconds to actually turn on the mug,

Buyer beware!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the idea, and expected great quality for $150. I received the mug from Best Buy for Christmas and after the second use the lid broke and the mug malfunctioned. It said cup was empty when is was not and would not turn on unless I placed in the charger first. Also, it would not pair with my phone. The app just drained my cell battery and never worked. Also, the mug battery did not last my 30 minute ride to work. I put hot coffee in and did not have heat further, just maintain temperature and it was toast by the time I got to work. Therefore, I figured I got a lemon or it was dropped, and I exchanged for another. The second time around it functioned normally, but again the lid cracked and was useless, fell right through the middle of the mug. This was after only using it twice! The lid is terrible design, the last thing I want to do is touch where I am drinking. Quality is not there, DO NOT BUY!

Awesome...except for the battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After stalking this mug for a while I must have given enough hints to my loved ones to have gotten it for Christmas. It does everything it's supposed to....when the battery is not dying. I commute about 20 mins daily from home to work and it's usually dead by the time I get to the office. I wrote Ember they wrote back with this long excuse of how there are so many variables (i.e. temperature outside, the temp of the liquid you pour inside the cup, etc) all the things the company doesn't warn you of before the purchase. After writing them about my dissatisfaction, they asked me to send the mug in for testing. I did, they sent it back saying nothing was wrong with it. I enjoy the mug, but with less than a 30 min battery life, I cannot recommend it.

Great for enjoying drinks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A simple to use high-tech innovation that is sure to please the user. App works well without any issues. Battery could last a little longer but other than that I would highly recommend to anyone who frequently drinks warm beverages on a daily basis.

Coffee lovers dream
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best mug I have ever owned. I’ve dreamed of having hot coffee for more than 5 minutes. This mug made that dream come true. I will admit it was difficult trying to figure out how to turn the mug on and off as it is not as easy as one would hope. The one downfall of this product is that it cannot detect liquids once poured into the cup. It would be more user friendly if it just turned itself on once liquid has been poured into the mug and vice versa. Other than that its AWESOME!

Exactly what I needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mug is amazing. It keeps my coffee exactly at the temp I like for hours. I even put cold coffee (mug measured it and found it was 85 degrees) into it and it heated it up to 130 degrees in less than 5 minutes. It definitely solved my problem of having to drink lukewarm coffee while at work. Love it!!!!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so excited to try this because I love taking my coffee on the go and I thought this had a 2 hours battery life but after only 35 min my mug was dead I was so upset I feel like it was a waste of 100 bucks I’m better off using my thermo mug

A garbage product - JUNK Battery / Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is absolutely horrible. Received mine for my bday Jan 29, 2021. Wife bought it a couple weeks beforehand. It's Feb 16, 2021 and the battery will not hold a charge. I literally used this cup MAYBE 5 times. What a piece of garbage. Great idea IF IT WORKED! Sooooooo mad at Ember and Best Buy for her buying this dang thing.

Waste of time & money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got mine for xmas. On a full battery it lasts 38minues. Not at ALL worth it. Tried to see if it's a defect and the company does NOT answer support emails or respond to social media inquires. Beware it's just not worth it. Better value from a 7 eleven reusable mug unfortunately.

Not worth the High Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had issues right out of the box. First cup of coffee and could not drink it. The spill proof lid will not stay down which made it unable to drink. The touch logo to power on and off works sometimes and sometimes does not, making setup and use of this mug very painful. A 10 dollar travel mug is still better than this 150 dollar mug.
