I picked up the Nes Classic Mini, an extra controller, and this NES advantage clone this morning. Tested out the Nes mini, and both controllers,they're fine. I plug the edge stick in, and while the turbo lights come up, none of the directionals or start/select buttons work. After that,I tried to do a workaround and see if I can plug the stick into player 2, and start a 2 player game of Double Dragon 2:The Revenge, and the same thing happens - no response. I'll be returning this stick, and try another one (if I can find one), but the entire batch of these sticks may be bad (seeing from other reviews). If/when I get a new version of this stick, I'll be sure to update this review.

I bought this as I was actually able to get one of the consoles on the release day. I hadn't even opened it when I received an e-mail from Best Buy that it was being recalled for a software issue. Curious I opened it to test it out and like my stubborn self was told, it didn't work. Also the "cheat code' book that was added as a bonus was more of a "how to" tip guide. Hopefully the software issue can be fixed and when available I am able to purchase it again as I did own one of the original joysticks for the NES.

Looks really cool just like back in the days but it does not work with the New Nes classic. Save your money

I purchased this when I picked up my NES Classic thinking it would be a great accessory. I was wrong. This thing didn't even work. The turbo lights light up and that's it. It doesn't function. Not a single button on it works. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back it. Nada.

I bought this controller knowing it was not a genuine Nintendo Product, but I was willing to accept that and move forward with my otherwise mundane existence knowing I could turbo my way through classic NES Games like the Champion I had always thought I was when I watched The Wizard with Fred Savage when I was 9. All I was missing now was the Power Glove because daggummit now I'm playing with POWER! The feeling was short lived when I plugged the controller in and quickly realized I had been duped. Dreams thwarted before they had begun. I didn't know what to do so I called the Nintendo Power Line..... Sadly it was a Prerecorded call and I was snapped back to 2016 and I knew this controller was not going to work with this wonderful NES Classic System no matter what I did. Game Over

I don't know why they would claim that this works for a system that it doesn't work for. It will work with the Wii U, however it does NOT work with the NES classic. Avoid this at all cost, especially if you wanted an arcade experience on the NES classic.

I really wish they would have fixed the problem of this controller in the beginning. But the company is willing to work with you to get it fixed. Can't wait to actually play with it

Not compatible with NES classic as advertised due to software issues. Item has a recall in which I returned to Best Buy. Big disappointment as I always enjoyed the arcade style controller.

I bought this as a second controller cause I couldn't get a regular one. DOESN'T WORK WITH NES Classic. Still not working and nobody at the company or best buy seems to care.

got this product home and plugged it in and nothing happened.took it apart and tried again but it still did't work .I would up taking it back to Best Buy for a refund.

I purchased this controller mainly because I remember it sitting under the TV as a kid. I remember it was my older brother's favorite controller to use, so I rarely got to use it. Now that I have had my chance, it's not that great of a controller for most games. There are some games that make this controller worth it, like Pacman. Unless you've used the joystick in the past, save your money and get a traditional controller.

Tried this for my wii U it worked but quite working the slow motion started and stopped randomly and was very cheap a light weight built nothing like the original.

Despite saying so right on the box, this controller DOES NOT WORK with the NES Classic. It may be great as a WiiU controller, but who knows? Do your research.

I regret buying this since there wasn't a game that I felt this improved, but other than that it seems like a good controller. The box for it was twice as big as the mini system. We probably won't keep it though. It's so hard to get a second controller right now so we'all probably keep it till we can easily get one. And at least this came with an acceptable length cord.

Despite the claims on the box, this doesn't work with the NES Classic. I know the controller works, as I tested it with some virtual console games on the Wii (it worked fine there). Shame because the stick and buttons are great, clicky, and responsive. This would be a 5 star review if it actually worked with the system it said it does.

Did not work at all with system had to return. Would have been awesome if it did work but none of the buttons would respond

I was excited to get this controller, but it doesn't work with the NES Classic Edition. Gonna have to return it.

It says it's compatible but it is not. I talked to Nintendo support. Eimo support has been shut down.

Ignore the print on the box...this controller is not compatible with the NES Classic Edition!!
