When I started charging the batteries for use, the charger kept blinking red. The batteries did not fit in my Wii-motes. I ended up returning the item.

    Solid Wii Remote Charger

I have used many Wiimote chargers over the past few years. This is the first one that actually works properly. The battery packs fit onto the Wiimote just like the factory battery cover, which is great because you can use these batteries with remote covers on or with Motion+ attached. The batteries take approximately 4 hours to charge and will last around a full day before they need to be charged again. The charger base is very easy to use. You just set the remotes on the pad and they begin to charge after a few seconds. There is a magnet in the charger base to ensure that the remotes are properly placed on the charger. A red light indicates charging and a green light indicates a fully charged battery. If you need a charger for four remotes, Energizer has one available. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. It's worth the $30 as you will save that much in just a few months not having to buy AA batteries!

First one I purchased, charged the first time and then I could not get the charger connected to the tablet correctly, would not go in all the way. Returned it and the customer service agent could not either. Replaced it and the new one would not go in all the way either.

    So far it works great!

The low profile is great and it does not look cheap. The induction plate definitely adds to the cool factor. I can place it on a shelf inside our credenza to hide it away. There is no need to remove remote jackets! It also has some weak magnets built in to help line up the remotes on the plate. You can also charge with the Motion Plus attached. The unit also plugs into a wall socket, so no need to consume a Wii USB. The first night I charged the remotes for only about an hour before I started playing, so they didn't get a full charge. However, we played for about 3-4 hrs before the Wii showed one of the remotes in the red. I gave them a full charge overnight and again played for about 2.5-3 hrs the next day and the Wii still showed them at full charge. So I'm guessing a fully charged battery will last atleast 6-8 hrs of constant play. The pre-charge of the packs varies out-of-the-box as one appeared to have a greater charge than the other, but I would guess a full charge takes 4-6 hours. The manual states a full charge takes 4 hrs. It has only been a week, but so far I'm very pleased with this product.

    great no hassle charger

Easiest charger you will ever use. Basically you just lay the remote down on the flat pannel and its good to go, no connection points to worry about. I had another charger were if it wasn't clicked in right it didn't charge and I found myself always playing with it never knowing if it was charging or not. Not these though. you lay them down and thats it. They are more expensive then some other chargers but since the are so easy to use and because there is no need to remove the batery to charge, espeially with the Wii with the skins and the motion plus you never need to worry about pulling the silicone covers off. The only problem that may occur is if while charging it may flash red indicating a problem, or telling you its not charging as other had reported. It hppened to me a few times in the begining, but I changed the batteries from one remote to another a few time and now I no longer have the issue. The batteries last a pretty long time too. Maybe not as long as my XBOX batteries but that can simply be because the Wii motion sensors use more energy than a normal remote. Do not worry though I easily get a full day off a charge. We will play all day and just put in on the charger at night and there is never an issue. The other charging system I had the batteries were barely last a few hours. With 3 kids on the it just wasn't going to work, especially on the weekends with no school. They are a little more money than some others but for the fact of not having to change the packs ever and they last all day they will pay off in the end.

    From Rocketfish to Energizer.

It was definitely a step up. I had the Rocketfish version for about 2 days and it basically just stopped charging it's batteries. So I returned it and was thinking of buying my tried and true Nyko that I have for my 360. However, a Playstation rep that was at Best Buy actually came over to assist me in the Wii section (Yes, you read that right, a Playstation rep). Anyway, she informed me that she has been using the Energizer product for a long time and she loved it. I looked at my wife and she said flat out, "Do you really want to remove the protective cover everytime you charge?" I agreed and decided that even though I am sketchy on charging pads in general, I would give it a shot. So far so good. I unpacked it, set it up, took the wife and kid out to dinner, came home and sat down for some Wii time. The indicator light was still red but I thought, "I want to play so I will deal." Booted up and the controller was at 3 bars of charge. I played Galaxy for about 2 hours and then unwrapped Zelda (yes, I am new to the Wii) and played that for another few hours. I checked it at the end of the night and still it was at 3 bars of charge. So I started with a not fully charged battery pack and played for about 6 hours straight with no issues. Right now, I am loving the quality. I am sketchy on some other reviewers saying it died after two weeks. But sometimes you have to gamble. I am also a little nervous because my second remote was red all night. I took it off the base, put it back on and the light went green? Hopefully the base was just confused because the pack was not hot indicating that it was no longer charging. Then I put the used one on before bed, woke up the next morning, still red. Took it off, put it back on and it went green? I will give it another day or so and see what happens. Hopefully this was just a fluke and things will get more accurate.

I was debating between this charger and a rocketfish one that came with a Wii starter pack. I am so glad that I went with this charger. It is actually kind of stylish, easy to use, and requires no extra work; just plug it in, set the remote ot the flat panel and that's it. I would reccommend this as a must have to anyone that has a Wii. Plus you will save on batteries in the long run.

Right out of the box. Four hours charges start to finnish. I set the control down and it charges. No hassles, no stipping off of cases or add ons. Every time I go to use it I have good batteries....Don't get a Wii without this unless you like the frustration of changing batteries.

LOVE this product. I can't speak for others who have had problems with their battery packs, but this has been a godsend for me. No more changing the batteries. Does the charge last as long as an alkaline? NO, but it ain't that difficult to put the controller back on the charging stand at night. We don't use the Wii ALL DAY, EVERYDAY, so it's perfect for us. We've had this for over 6 months and the charge lasts long enough for us to use for entire night. Very easy to charge and NOT take off the cover is a plus. Going to buy another charger for the other 2 remotes we have.

Had been using rechargable batteries in my wiii-motes anyway, but that meant having to check the charge before playing or possibly stopping to change midgame when they died. This induction pad has a red or green indicator light. If the light on one of the wii-motes is red (indicating it is still charging) I just pick up the other one with the green light (fully charged). Never any question. It is alos great to be able to charge without removing any of the accessories. Wii motion plus or silicone jacket does not interfere with charging. Just set this induction plate where you set your wii-motes down and every time you set them down they will charge themselves. Couldn't be easier or more convenient

I love this product. Just install the batteries and place on the pad. The pad is magnetic and holds controller in place even with a sleeve on it. Charges well and holds a charge.

    Awesome Charging System

I got tired of continuously having to by batteries for my Wii remotes. My parents have this charging system and suggested I try it. I am SO glad I did. It is easy to use and you can charge your remotes in the gel sleeves. When you are done playing, just lay the remotes on the charging board and that's it. I recommend this charging station for anyone. In fact, I am buying a second one for my other two remotes. If I could change one thing it would be that they have a panel to charge 4 remotes at one time.

    Great Idea

I just purchased this thing, i wanted a black charging station, it was either this, or an ugly stand up charger. The pictures on the back do not tell the truth. I thought the pack and cover would have been seperate so that i could still use my back cover for my black wiimote and the pink one on my wifes. I was wront, the picture lied. So instead of returning it right away, i decided to look into it. I finally decided to pull everything apart on the batterpack and discovered that if i remove the screws and pulled out the whole unit, then removed the top cover, i could stick it in the wiimote and still use the stock battery covers with it. And guess what, it still charges.

I've had these for about 1 month now. I really like this charging station. Work great with the motion plus also. The only thing I have to do is make sure that the charge light comes on when I set the remote in place. The batteries seem to last about 6-8 hours. It also is one of the most stylish units on the market.

This does exactly what it is supposed to do which is charge Wiimotes. It's really convenient because you don't have to remove the jackets to charge. The charging pad doesn't take up much room either - it's just big enough for two Wiimotes. I do wish it came with a black rechargeable battery pack to match my black Wiimote, but that's a minor quibble.

Awesome!!!! Leave the protective cover on your wii remote, lay on charging mat, light turns green when fully charged. Does not have to be fully charged to use. Works with off brand remotes also. Batteries have some chage out of the box. Upgraded from the 2 to the 4 remote mat. Takes up very little space.

Nice Charging System for the Wii or the Wii U

This is a nice charging system that can be used for the Wii or the Wii U. It has the punch out hole so you can sync to the wii. The only thing I do not like about it is that is has to be powered by a usb port. Making it more difficult to charge. Other than that great piece of equipment.
