My new computer is the right size,slender, easy to use , was easy to set up ,like the color,clear pictures and print

This is my first laptop with an AMD processor and to be honest, I was a little skeptical. But after using it for few weeks, I can say that Ryzen 5 is as good as Intel Core 5 series. I do not use this laptop for gaming, so I don't know how will it hold against graphics intensive games. Here are my key observations: * Setup * The setup was extremely easy as usually is the case with most of new laptops and desktops now a days. The Cortana assistant walked me through the setup process and you have a choice to use either your voice or keyboard to choose various options. I, personally, prefer keyboard over voice but I tried few options with voice and Cortana responded without any issues. I turned on "Face Recognition" feature (part of Windows Hello app) and it has been able to recognize my face in various light conditions. It doesn't work well in very low-light situations. The usual bloatware is still there. I removed McAfee anti-virus and installed available software and OS updates. I think the whole process took me somewhere 15-30 mins. * Screen * The max screen resolution is 1080p. I would say that the screen is somewhere between average and good. If you consider the price point, I tend to think that it's on the "good" end. I have tried it in multiple light conditions and have been able to work comfortably. I haven't tried it outside in the sunlight so not sure how will it hold up against that. * Keyboard * This laptop has a dedicated number pad on the right. That is why the keyboard is a bit off center. As I use number pad a lot, personally I like it. But this is really a matter of personal preference. Otherwise, the keyboard is great. It has backlight, the keys are big enough and does not create too much noise when pressed. * Sound * The B&O speakers are decent. I usually have music playing in the background while I am working and these speakers provide good sound. I usually play them at 50% audio level. I tried them at the max volume for a shorter period of time and didn't find any distortion. * Tablet Mode * At 15.5", I think it is a little too big to be used as a tablet. But it is again personal preference as I have used it for watching movies in the tablet mode while traveling on a train. The design (specially the hinges) looks solid. The touch screen is very responsive. I use it with a bluetooth stylus and am very happy with it's performance in the tablet mode. * Performance * As I mentioned in the beginning, I mostly use this laptop for work (MS Office, Java coding, running app servers etc). For these purposes, it has been an excellent performer. I am able to work on multiple applications at the same time without any lags/delays etc. The fan on this one seems to run more frequently than my older laptop which is a little bit annoying. A full reboot take around 20 seconds while waking up from sleep is almost instantaneous. This is primarily thanks to 128 GB SSD. Talking about SSDs, some people might find 128GB to be on the lower side. As I have my personal cloud storage and I use that for most of my needs, 128 GB is more than enough for me. It would have been good if there was an option for 256 or 512 GB SSD. * Conclusion * A solid laptop for the price range. The design looks and feels like a much more expansive laptop. The touchscreen is responsive and works great. As the storage is limited to 128 GB, working in the cloud will be ideal. It would have been great if it had a USB-C type charger but that's a minor gripe.

Great little laptop. Not a whole lot of memory, but has a slot for memory card so I'm still happy with it.

I've had the laptop a few months and I like it but I don't love it. I prefer a laptop that has a CD drive and a removable battery. This laptop has neither of those items. Apparently, the laptop manufacturers feel we no longer need these options on our laptops (which I find crazy). I think it is very sensitive in regards to WIFI. The battery life is okay but I wonder how long it's going to last a couple of years from now. I'm wondering if I'll be stuck just having to plug the computer to the wall which defeats the whole purpose of having a laptop.

The screen size, speed and graphics are excellent. Mouse pad works well. Excellent quality for the price.

My computers are used a lot - on most of the day and carried almost everywhere I go so they must hold up to a lot of rather rough treatment. So far, this computer is great. I have used it a lot these several months that I have owned it and it does everything I need it to do and doesn't show signs of much wear and tear yet. I was concerned with the 2 in 1 design, but so far that has not been a problem at all. Yes, I recommend this computer.
