For the long haul
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is amazing, i bought it in 2018 i just recenly replaced it. I didnt really have to but it was running a little slower than i liked and the touch sreen seem to only work 9.5 times out of 10 which a turn off and turn on fixed 100% of the time. I loved this computer and still have it just upgraded for school.

Nice and upscale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer for my personal home needs. I wanted something versatile and I needed it to be responsive. My main needs and use for home is web usage, email, and Office files. This overall was a nice computer. It has an upscale look and looks really sharp visually. I felt it was kind of heavier than expected, but nothing too heavy. The edges and lines of this computer are very rigid and felt a bit uncomfortable at times when you have it sitting on your lap or rub your arms against it. The 2 in 1 feature is neat, but after using it for a week I really didn't care for it and would just use it as a designated laptop setting. The screen on this computer is very nice and crisp and 1080p is perfect. I used it the machine for about an hour a night and felt like it was just getting overly hot and uncomfortable to keep on your lap, which is not what I would have expected for a machine of this caliber. I ultimately returned this because I felt it was a lot of show and not as useful for my needs and overpriced. It may be suited best for a college aged student that wants something that will get noticed and useful for laptop and tablet use.

Great looking exterior and so far smooth running.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this one after looking for an affordable laptop. After a few hours at a couple Best Buys I settled on this one at $599. The exterior is elegant with a smooth finish. The keyboard is lit which is a plus at night. Once on it runs smooth for the most part. Had some update issue, which seem to have been resolved. My biggest issue with it is the keyboard. For some reason, I can not get used to it. That's on me though.

Solid PC, priced well.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a Mac user. Had to buy a PC for work. I have also never used AMD and was VERY skeptical of it. I watch the stock market and AMD is getting killed. HOWEVER this PC functions amazing. It's not an APU but the common cpu with Radeon R7 .5 GiG and 8GiG Ram. I've returned the Dell Inspiron 5000, and a premium Asus model. This laptop works just as well as both of them. I would recommend this to everyone thinking about buying this machine and would also say trust me it's a deal. This is coming from someone who owns a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iPad Pro. This HP is a great PC and can perform any word processing, web, audio, and video you through at it.

I am quite pleased with this laptop.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to confess that I had not done a lot of research when I went in to Best Buy to by a new laptop. I had several key features identified that I wanted in the new computer and this model seemed to fulfill all of those needs. After almost a week of using it I have become more and more satisfied with my choice. Some of the pros are: * Really like the looks and feel of this slim and metal constructed laptop. * I listen to alot of youtube music videos and the speakers are superb with plenty of volume. * The system is very fast. * This thing runs very cool and is very quiet. Honestly I haven't found a thing to complain about.

AMD processor runs hot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my laptop for 6 months now. I must run the laptop in power saving mode at all times in order to keep the fan from running loud like it will do in balanced and high performance modes. AMD processors run much hotter than Intel. It does offer a beautiful screen and the 360 degree hinge and touchscreen are useful. Next purchase I will buy an Intel processor.

Great for students!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop after my Lenovo laptop broke on me. I was hesitant to spend $600 on a laptop, but I am so glad I did! The touch screen capabilities of this laptop make navigating my online classes a breeze, and allows me more control over the interaction I have with my online learning resources. Being able to flip the keyboard over and go into tablet mode allows me to have my notebook in front of me taking notes while I read online textbooks without having a keyboard to reach over or to have to put down my pen to use the mouse to scroll down the page. I would say that the tablet functionality of this laptop really made this an excellent product for me. It helps me stay organized and on top of all my schoolwork with beautifully and sleekly designed features. I highly recommend this laptop for both student/academic use, business use, and personal use.

The Problem No One is Talking About
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the laptop is a solid laptop and honestly will do what you need it too. With that being said, two concerns in the 7 hours I've owned this laptop. 1. When turning in the laptop for the first time, the total time to boot up, update, and set up takes about two hours. This is too be expected however. 2. And the issue no one is talking about. The screen does not rotate when you flip the laptop screen to either tent, entertainment, or laptop mode. The screen will always stay facing in one direction and is always upside down if you have it in any orientation other than the standard notebook position. Also the "rotation lock" is perminatly on in the settings with no option to turn it off. I called HP and after an hour I got ahold of their tech support, and they told me the Envy x360 has "technical limitations preventing the screen from rotating", so this is an actual issue and this can't be fixed. Bringing the laptop back tomorrow since I don't see the point in owning a laptop that can double as a tablet of the screen can only stay in one orientation.

Great W10 Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first windows laptop that I've ever owned. Ever since I can remember I used a Powerbook then Macbook Pro. Recently my Macbook Pro bit the dust and I made a snap decision to get this laptop. After a few weeks I am very satisfied. The back lit keyboard is great, and so is the track pad. The build quality is easily on par with any Apple product, for about half the price. The only cons I've had are bloatware (uninstall it all anyway) and running out of memory when several family members are logged in. All in all I couldn't be more happy with my switch. It runs Photoshop and the like as smooth as necessary. Good work HP!

Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with this computer at this price. I was looking for a value laptop that offered good specs at a decent price. This is a cheaper alternative to the HP Envy x360 Intel laptops with similar performance. Great Display, Sound, and Speed.

fast when it runs...but reboots at random
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Specs are good and it should be a great laptop. It however is a mountain of trouble and issues. Mine randomly goes blank and reboots losing what ever you were working on. HP says it also has an issue with Microsoft updates and the AMD processor. Gets a warning that the hard drive app that control sudden movement of the laptop that protects the hard drive is not working with windows 10. There is no fix at this time according to HP. I had mine at Geek Squad twice and was on line to HP and they remotely took it over to troubleshoot. I took it back to BB while I still could. I was not going to be stuck with $600 of heartache.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this in April. Already the cooling fan is not working and HP technical support sucks. I suggest that you avoid HP at all cost especially if you are contemplating taking the product out of the USA. There is an HP service center within 5 mins of my home here in Barbados but HP is telling me I must send the product back to the USA to have a cooling Fan fitted. Their excuse the service center here would not have the training to replace the fan since the product was commercialized in the USA. I thought a significant reason to purchase a laptop is because it is so easy to move with you. No more hp products for me.

Do your research!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this laptop four months ago for school because it had great reviews on Bestbuy.com. After three weeks of normal internet surfing and typing school reports, I notice my computer restarting without warning. I thought maybe it overheated or it was doing an automated update but that wasn't the case. After a few months, the restarts became more frequent to the point it restarts twice a day. I contacted HP support and it turns out that serval of my Drive is disabled which is causing the restarts. HP one year warranty does not cover Drive repair. So my options are mail out the laptop and get a refurbished model or pay $99 for a new drive recovery software. This is very disappointing considering that ithis is a $700 laptop. Now they want me to pay additional money to fix their issue or get a refurbished model. I wish I would have done more extensive research to see if this model had any issues. I assume it would be fine considering that I had two HP laptops before that work great for at least 2.5 years before they started acting weird.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer worked great for 1 year, then out of no where the Hard Drive Started Making a Crunching Noise, the computer locked up and wont turn back on. Just happened to happen 2 weeks after the warranty expired. They company no longer makes the model of HDD that is used in this computer because it was found to be defective. Very Disappointed in HP with my last two purchases.
