I’ve had this laptop for about almost a year now and it has started to act up. Black screens, random crashes and freezes, etc. I wouldn’t recommend getting this laptop.

This gorgeous laptop has most of the things you will look for in a portable PC. Beautiful screen with great contrast, sturdy construction and just the right weight to feel like you are holding something substantial not flimsy. It only has a mechanical hard drive so it’s a bit noisy, would have liked to see an SSD disk but perhaps at this great price point one needs to make compromises. It does have 1TB of capacity which is minimum in my opinion now a days. It has an HDMI port for hooking up to external monitor / TV and has USB ports including type C and an SF slot as well as headphone jack. One of my favorite things is the backlit keyboard, it’s gorgeous and the keys have a nice tactile feel to them. As for sound, you can’t get much better than this at this price point, the B&O sound is pleasing for both music and movies and a great added feature. Overall the setup was typical Windows, performance was good on typical Office 365 applications and movies on Netflix (with that great sound) are a joy to watch. The touch screen is responsive and tablet mode is easily activated by flipping the screen over and it works with the MS Surface pen which is great. Battery life depends on the intensity of your task, word or web surfing much longer, more processor and hard drive intensive tasks much shorter but pretty much in the range of 4.5 - 8 hours of use. I didn’t give it 5 stars as it doesn’t have the SD HD and is a bit noisy but you truly can’t go wrong with this great mid priced laptop.

The screen repeatedly slipped to one side and actually got smaller so that I could not see all of the desk top. Not sure if it was the item or if it was Windows 10. In any case, I had to return it and because I was patient enough to try for a month instead of the return requirement of 14 days, I was punished by Best Buy and only given a gift card instead of a credit on my Visa card. I am very disappointed in Best Buy.

Had crashing and software issues right after turning on, Returned after 2 weeks. Best Buy graciously refunded my money. I would recommend Best Buy to A friend.

I’m not a computer expert but this computer fan turns on after only one hour of use, it’s loud and disruptive....very concern with quality of this product.

Cannot get the sound without plugging in an earphone. Have tried multiple things to correct this problem without success.

I purchased the laptop directly from HP website. I decided to give AMD a try since I have being reading good reviews about AMD's Ryzen CPU that it is great for Multitasking and gaming. I was going to replace my current Intel i5 with the 8th Gen i5 but I saw a professional reviews online that the Ryzen 2500U beats the i5 8250U in almost all multitasking especially in gaming. The i5 is unplayable in almost all the games that were tested. The integrated Vega graphic contributed a lot in the gaming part. Also the Ryzen 2500 is $100 cheaper than the i5 so it is definitely a great buy.

10 yrs ago I discovered quickly how HP treats their customers and promised myself I would not buy another one. I fell for it 3 weeks ago and after 18 days that thing started freezing every half hour and the screen would black out randomly. I don't care if it was a lemon, I got a Dell now.

The screen cracked almost 3months after receiving it seems it’s not made to to opened and closed back and forth?!

I bought 4 of these for my business and 2 of them has been stuck in table mode. We’ve tried everything

While processor speed was good, the unit was not reliable. We went through 2 before giving up and purchasing a MAC.

This computer begin freezing up directly outta the box. Thumbs down! Get a 2 star for swivel features etc...

I bought this laptop for my wife's college classes. The first laptop we got would not connect to wifi. Even after consulting with a geek squad member the laptop did not connect. The 2nd replacement we recieved worked fine for a week and then had the same issues as the first. Poor technology that does not perform. Would not suggest purchasing under any circumstance.

Purchased this to replace an old HP desktop used primarily to pay bills, I can't even explain how frustrated I am with how slow it is. Try to work in Excel or Quicken and you have to wait 10 seconds just to move from one field to the next, and don't even try to use the internet!!

short battery life. average time usage is 3 hours........

This is another overpriced underperforming HP product. Bad display and overall performance.

What laptop I ever owned. HP product was cheaply made. First the hinges broke and HP would not replace them and the screen was damaged because of it. Then the keys started popping off... For a supposed 2in1 it was not even remotely durable. Just an overall terrible design.

The processe is very slow. The touch screen. You have to push hard on the screen.
