Very thin and lightweight, lots of great features and new programs that make everything easier. Windows 10, with new Microsoft Office 365. Very impressive and easy to learn.

This one is working good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first one I bought was trouble all the time. I had geek squad dialed in all the time trying to fix it. I took it back and got a new one just like it. This one has been working good. I wish they would give the customer more info on how to run it.This one has Microsoft ink and I don't have a clue how to run it.

Excellent Hardware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thia laptop demands attention yet is sleek enough to go unnoticed. Powerful for a thin&light notebook and overall great snappy UI, though the fan is a little louder than most in this price range.

Let down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop at a great price and had everything I wanted - nice display, backlit keyboard, speed but...after setting up the laptop I noticed a distinct sound from the cooling fan. It was like the sound of a playing card in a bicycles spoke (yes I'm that old ). The clicking sound would actually increase as I oriented the laptop in different directions. I took it to Geek Squad to have it checked and they also noticed a distinct "popping" sound when the bottom of the case is pressed in. This has been reported by other users. I could live with that sound but not with the annoying fan clicking sound. Even though I returned the laptop I still gave it 3 out of 5 for being a nice laptop but having build issues.

for my 16 year old son. It really takes more...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good.It really takes more for this generation. The design is great and the touch screen and size and weight are appropriate. He can make it a tablet by flipping the cover over and the power of the process makes it very fast. Thin and lightweight...so far so good. Hoping that is is robust in as much, If I can get at least 4 years out of this computer...I will be happy.

Excellent Hardware but Crappy Software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hardware on this laptop is great. The AMD Ryzen 5 Processor with vega 8 graphics really outperforms any Intel HD Graphics in this price range by atleast 50%. But the problem here is the crappy graphic drivers provided by AMD for Vega 8 Graphics. The drivers crash often causing the laptop to restart on it's own. Also Youtube watching on this laptop is impossible without turning off the Hardware Acceleration on google chrome. The screen filckers and green screen occurs and laptop restarts while watching Youtube. VERY ANNOYING! But finally able to make the drivers stable by force installing Adrenaline 18.1 by following instructions on reddit. This issue is wide spread in all of the envy X360 models and been reported a lot to both HP and AMD. But AMD is blaming it on HP and HP on AMD. Worst customer support by AMD and HP.

Works Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the touchscreen. Speakers are nice and loud while being clear. I put in 16gb of ram because while in school I would leave a game running in the background while streaming amazon music or apple music, and have 6-9 tabs open in chrome along with my email. I don't know how much of a difference it really made, but I would rather have the larger ammount. The laptop seems to be locked in at 16gb so you can't put 32gb in but I can't see why somebody would need 32gb in an everyday laptop like this one. I had Geek Squad swap the memory for me and they confirmed there is a PCIE M.2 slot inside so a Samsung 970 drive will be going in within the next month.

Great value, no complaints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent forever researching 2 in 1's.My budget was 700 to 1000. I needed something robust, fast, capable of decent graphics rendering and had a solid build. This Envy hit all those marks. I did add an PCI SSD boot drive and a Geek Squad warranty and still managed to stay on the low side of my budget after all peripherals. After 3 months I am still very happy with my purchase. It has performed flawlessly for my business needs. I haven't tried to do any gaming but I have done quite a bit of website development and graphic rendering and the AMD card is just fine. In fact this purchase motivated me to buy stock in HP and AMD. This is a successful combo.

Good System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good system with excellent specs (as long as nothing too intensive needs to be done), and it's in my opinion one of the better-looking laptops out there. Recommended.

Many nice features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was surprised at how long this computer took to start up. However, that was the only real drawback that I found. I bought this as a gift, and love a lot of things about it. It is visually appealing and neat to watch movies on. It also switches back and forth between Office applications quickly. The Microsoft Ink feature is fun, but does not always work.
