Typical HP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lasted one day before the hinge broke. This is my third HP computer over the years. The last two the hinges broke. It appears the problems continue, or maybe not. I'm not taking any chances. I returned it and bought Lenovo.

Best to go online and Read Reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to Amazon to post review they said: "product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity." This is because after a few months this laptop makes a buzzing noise from underneath that their HP online Tech people cannot fix. They offered to send me a box for it with instructions. Noise is totally annoying. Go on line and check and you'll see this complaint frequently....

Glass Screen Shatters on the slightest Impact!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within a few weeks of me purchasing this laptop, the glass screen cracked between the two hinges that connect the keyboard to the screen. There is no support between these two hinges which means the play is enough to crack the screen. This also impacts the performance of the laptop as the digitizer sends now sends mixed signals to the computer. After replacing the screen with a genuine HP replacement at a cost of $500, the screen cracked again within a week. Buyer beware, this product is not designed or built to last

Buyer Beware!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst lap top I ever purchased. Prior to this I had a Toshiba Ultrabook, used it for 8 years, never gave me an ounce of trouble. Bought this is September 2020, it's November and I have spent over 5 hours on the phone with customer support to fix my mic and finger print that continue to stop working and need updating. Two calls ago the joker on the phone tried to get me to pay for customer support time, you have to be kidding me. If your product wasn't so bad, I wouldn't need customer support. Don't waste your time, the feature of being able to use this as a tablet for presentations, was the reason I bought this, but it's not worth the headache. I feel like this was the worst money I ever spent.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible computer! I thought I would be able to edit pictures but the laptop has a very difficult time scrolling Facebook. I should have returned it right out of the box. Since it could barely handle navigating Facebook, I know it wouldn't handle anything I actually bought it for. And then the space bar started lagging, putting a space whenever it finally kicked in. It's infuriating. But then my touchpad stopped functioning properly. So I've struggled with this laptop for 14 months and it's shot. HP doesn't stand behind their products. Google the issues with the HP Envy and you will see these issues are widespread. Don't do it.

Had to take it back twice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first time out of the box, the screen was blank. It would not activate or light up. Took it back the following day and they switched out the computer. A month after we had the new one the computer crashed and now we have to send it back. Apparently the hard drive is bad, it's only a month old! Come on HP, you can do better than this.

Regular problems with video &/or sound capability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never written a review before - for anything. I have been so frustrated with this computer. Periodically it stops playing video and/or sound. It is usually after hp has initiated an automatic update. It takes excessive time and a very high level of frustration on my part to fix the issue. No one fix works each time. Once I took it in to the Geek Squad who was also perplexed as to how to fix this piece of trash. I took it back home. Then, after another automatic update, it started working again - at least for a few days. This problem is a regular occurrence. Never buy hp. Hp Support Assistance is laughable.

Can’t keep connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had this laptop for a few months and I’ve been experiencing problems with holding a connection no matter what WiFi service I’m connected to. There’s also an issue with my sound. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with hp or Best Buy but I’ll never buy another laptop like the one I have again. It’s a waste of $800.

Loose hinges and clicky trackpad = Dealbreaker!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful display, Great sound, and performance up to the specs. If this is mostly a desktop replacement and you use a mouse you might love it. But the trackpad makes a clicking noise every time you touch it. And the hinges are so loose the screen will rotate all the way around when you walk with it. Also the empty dvd bay gives a hollow feel to the base. 0 stars for portability!

Don't purchase.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so I wanted to buy a laptop for research/study use in law school. Let me start with saying that the laptop came in with a scratch on top right out of the box. Second, there is big issue with finger recognition. It worked for couple of times and then stopped working at all. Third, the touchpad does not work properly. It is really heavy and difficult to use. Then, the screen would black out every couple minutes. The laptop is also slow for an i5. The screen also froze multiple times! You can barely read the letters on the keyboard, and the backlight is useless. I bought this with a 3 year-warranty, but too bad I'm getting ready to return it.

windows 10
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am sorry to have to return my laptop but I can not accept this operating system. it has too many glitches. I don't trust it to last and expect it to get worse over time. I will wait a year to give them time to fix this o.s.

Slow no for photographers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't even had my laptop a year and it crashes constantly. I have virus protection. I've ran every test I can... called hp "that will 200 to clear some cookies and files".. told them no thanks. All I do is edit in light room and photoshop nothing seems to work ever.. the customer service is a joke from everything I've read. So upset with this waste of 900$ worked well for about 3 months and now it is slower then my husbands 8 yr old toshiba.. I will never buy another hp product as long as I live. All I want is my money back but that will never happen.

Fragile opening
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The left hinge upon opening creaked, then popped and then split the screen from casing - computer was never dropped and never had anything placed upon it - read reviews too late and appears to be an ongoing issue. I am waiting to see what HP will do about this issue before I totally slam them on reviews....

Hard Drive Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love my new laptop (Jan. 2019 purchase). However, the system constantly blue screened. I assumed I loaded too many of my extra programs. I restored the system to factory settings and my computer still blue screened. The machine is unusable at this point and I'm waiting on a response from HP. I'm stuck with drive errors. Oh well....

Cheap piece of garbage, slow and flimsy, horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this since it was on sale and the Intel and Best Buy associate sold me a bill of goods that this was a the best purchase. It was not, it was slow, cheap feeling and who cares if the display turns into a tablet. I should of trusted my gut that HP makes horrible computers and went with a Mac. Do not buy this product.

Problems with wifi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Around two weeks after I bought the laptop (HP Envy x360 15'') the WiFi started giving me trouble, it would disconnect frequently. Now it is almost impossible to stay connected to the internet for more than a minute. It seems to be a very common problem with this laptop.

Don't buy this laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It gets too hot, and the hinges break easily, as it happened with two other HP laptops I bought in the past. I am done with HP laptops. Don't buy them. Luckily, these laptops last for a little bit more than a year, and they always have the same issues.
