ink cartridges do what there supposed to do, it's an EPSON printer and I always have issues with non-EPSON cartridges.

we always use epson inks for our printers. Makes photos great and the XL is a great time saver; don't have to swap as often.

Very small ink cartridges that really don't last to long. So if you do a lot of printing I would buy the extended life replacements. In my case this printer didn't last very long. One day it just decided to stop printing ink on the paper. Even after doing all the maintenance features of the printer I still couldn't get it to put ink on the paper in any color. Shame because I did like the printer but it didn't last very long. Replaced with a Cannon.
