Expensive but Necessary

This seems to be a standard industry practice, but it is not a consumer friendly one. Once you buy the printer you really have little choice. I tried off brands, which are cheaper, but they did not work and probably were the cause of the death of my last printer.. So, in summary, I like the printer, but am unhappy with the cost of the ink.

Manufacturer cartridges are the best.
