One of the colors in the pack is already empty. The other 3 are still almost full.

I printed only a few papers only and It was done out of ink.

I have owned the Epson WF-3640 for 6 months. After two bad starts,due to printer failures (rectified by Epson sending me a brand new one) I have had absolutely no problems. This printer is easy on ink, beautiful print quality, bright vivid colors. Very fast printing. The ink cost is high but no more so than any other ink jet. Ink is the profit for all makes. This printer has been quite efficient on ink. It has many features, all work to perfection for me. I recently bought a second one for a different computer system with perfect operation right out of the box. I have owned Dell, HP and Lexmark printers. This Epson beats them all in excellence of print quality, ink usage and features.

ink cartridges are very easy to install and ink cartridges seem to last a good amount of time.

If you are like me, you print using more of the black ink rather than colored. I would suggest spending a little more and purchasing the Epson 252 4-pack with the black ink being XL in it. It has more than twice the yield (the 252XL black ink cartridge) so you will save more in the long run. These printer cartridges are required for my new printer. I bought this specific printer because the cartridges are separated by color. I feel this reduces waste because I can use each color until it's empty, instead of having to replace every color at once. They are also easy to install in my printer.

I have always used Epson Ink for my Epson Printers. The 252 DURAbrite Ultra ink is what Epson recommends for my WF-3640 printer. It always works great! I don't print photos with it, just regular paper documents and it does a fine job.

I've bee using this brand/style of ink for about 2 years because it's compatible with my personal printer. It works well. I just wish it lasted a little longer. Other than that, everything is good for the value.
