The price of ink is what is the downside. This appears to be universal though. I don't print a lot so the print heads tend to clog a bit. Having to clean them also uses the precious ink. The WF-3640 is a very reliable and function printer. I haven't had paper feed jams (unlike my 3 prior HP inkjets). They had issues feeding photo paper and paper in general. The ink cartridges are easy to replace.

More Ink For The Money

XL is Worthwhile

It is more economical and saves time changing cartridges. Would have preferred to purchase the combined XL plus other colors, but not carried by Best Buy.
