If one is just an occasional user, then the regular cartridge will work fine. However, if one is a daily user, then most definitely go with the XL as it lasts far longer and also gives the option of using just the black ink or a mixture of all the colors for longer lasting use.

252 xl black ink for my epson printr

Sell the printer , hooked on ink prices for it. This ink does a remarkable job, as do all inks from Epson. Better prints. They are far superior to (***) < famous brand. I have used Epson for 20 yrs now, so as it goes. Buy Epson, you won't be disappointed.
