The 2800 isn't as fast as the WF 3460 was, and only being able to print or scan one page at a time is a nuisance. Also on the con side, the small window is difficult to see and options are not as self-intuitive as the WF was. But I'm looking forward to saving money on ink cartridges. It's also more compact and lighter, which are good features.

I bought this printer as a back up and in a bind when my EcoTank 15000 ceased to work when the maintenance box filled up. I was worried if the print quality would be as good. It has definitely exceeded my expectations. Please note I use this printer for sublimation for my home business. The set up was easy and the price was reasonable.

Works great and can print on card stock easily. A little hard to set up if you do not want a printer app on your phone.

I've had this printer about a month now and it has done well. I use it for general purpose printing and occasional plain paper photo printing. It is doing well. Aligned well, colors are good and the network interface is working. I would have already gone through the ink cartridges that come with other printers I have bought and have barely used any of the ink this one came with. It's already paying for itself.

I like this printer. Straightforward to set up on my wireless network. We also can print from our phones. Almost self-managed where it prompts you when updates are needed and when normal maintenance like adding ink, etc. This is a feature-rich printer for a very reasonable price.

Disappointing Experience!

I’m highly disappointed in the overall experience with the Epson ET-2800 printer. What should ultimately be this printer’s positive attributes ends up being some of its greatest downfalls. I wanted my overall experience to be much better, and there was a lot left to be desired. On the positive side, I appreciate the attempt to go against the grain and provide a printer at a slightly higher cost while trying to keep the cost of ink down. Sadly, this statement is overcast by the overall build quality of this printer. At the cost of $200 plus, this printer feels very flimsy and poorly put together. A similar printer I bought just over a year ago, and at half the cost, is much sturdier. This being my initial observation, I wanted to ensure I gave this printer a fair chance. Unfortunately it was discovered that my initial negative perceptions were all but confirmed. The ET-2800 has a hard time doing any of its basic functions properly and just seems to be nothing more than the IDEA of a simple, large ink capacity printer.
Pros:
Prints nice clear images (usually)
No ink cartridges
Holds large amount of ink
Simple wireless setup
Lower cost of ink
Cons:
Constant paper jams
Printer will try to print without paper in it (ink all over inside of machine)
Smudges of ink on edges of paper (Rollers constantly getting ink on them)
Constant error messages
Too many notifications on computer
Simple registration doesn’t work (Won’t recognize its own Serial #)
Can’t hit close button on registration notification (must use task manager to end process)
Slow Color Printing (doesn’t hit the 5ppm)
Printer build quality is bad
Paper Alignment Issues
The biggest disappointment of this printer is how many actual prints you’ll get per full reservoir of ink. Epson’s attempt at convincing its consumers they are going to print “up to” 4,500 Black prints and 7,500 colored prints is absolute marketing bull. Two years of ink right in the box for whom? I understand with the way it’s worded I “might” get that many prints, but I didn’t even come close. I also know there are a lot of factors involved with reaching those numbers, but I was upset to find that I was only able to squeeze out just over 1,000 colored prints before needing additional ink. In addition, I can’t say I have ever owned a printer that pulls the paper through differently every time, making it so the images aren’t in the same spot on every piece of paper. I very rarely got two exact looking images because of their different placements. This printer has no clue where the paper is, whether it’s centered or how far along its come. This seems to be odd considering our technological advancements in recent years.
My overall experience with this machine would be considered poor at best. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars because when it is working it does provide nice prints and I can genuinely say I’ve never had an easier wireless setup experience, but that’s about all the positives I can say about it. I would suggest looking for a different printer altogether or maybe even going ahead and taking a chance by spending a little more on a higher Epson model in hopes of better luck. The Epson ET-2800 is a good example of when a company attempts to make something simple and functional and falls completely flat.

I have just installed the printer and printed one copy so it’s still very new to me. It seemed easy to use. The installation instructions were not the best but i followed them until the final item about installing drives? Still don’t know what that meant. Anyway, I did get it to print uccessfully. I like the smaller size of this and the ink bottles were easy to use.

I have had this printer for about six weeks and I have printed thousands of color intense pages. I love it. I love the way ink is stored and used. No unused ink ends up in the trash because one color is empty. The print quality is fantastic, I shared photos of two 13x19 inch photos I printed. I have had no connection issues with the printer, it was easy to set up and print. I am equally happy with the scan function. I have scanned several documents, including a few multipage documents and scanning from the document feeder was simple and worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this printer.
