    Dear WF-4740, I want to sincerely apologize for an attempt to ditch you in favor of the ET-4760. I fell for the lure of much cheaper ink. What I did not know then: (1) Of the first 4 attempts to scan a 3-page document using the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), the result was jam, jam, jam, success; (2) printing a 40-page document (single sided), the ET-4760 would jam 4 times; (3) the plastic surrounding the scanner bed is crooked relative to the scanner, so ALL documents aligned to the edge of the bed appear crooked when scanned; (4) most documents scanned using the ADF also appear crooked, (5) though individual printer and scanner drivers are presented for download, as well as Epson Event Manager, you need to download and install the kitchen-sink package or fight serious functionality problems. Based on my experience, the ET-4760 would not be acceptable even if the ink were free. WF-4740, you never had these issues. Will you take me back?

    Descent printer, Nice ink concept, lousy scanner

    The unit prints and copies just fine. If your planning on using the scanner a lot you will find that it jams frequently if the paper feeding into it is not perfectly flat and has no holes in it such as three ring binder holes it will jam. It does scans single copies fine on the flat bed or on feeder. Will Jam up when sending multiple pages thru the auto feeder that don't lay perfectly flat or is a heavier weight paper. Card stock is a definite no!

    Several years ago after struggling to find a printer that would last for longer than a year I ended up buying an Epson Artisan 835 which was a spectacular printer. As it got a bit long in the tooth it got a lot more difficult to find ink. I decided to refresh for this fancy EcoTank printer (given my strong opinion of Epson products) and the potential for other means of filling it with ink if Epson stops selling this system at some point in the future. While this printer works well enough sometimes, it also requires fairly frequent futzing with it to get it to print /well/. If you don't waste paper and ink running through alignment and cleaning cycles on a regular basis print quality gets very very poor, that is if it prints anything at all. I wish that the expected quality of the Artisan was present here, but it isn't. Can't recommend this printer given the price point and overall quality.

    The worst all the way around

    my 1st ET-4760 had problems with the document feeder. I called customer service, they made me leave them a $300 deposit for them to mail me a new refurbished ET-4760. The 2nd Et-4760 had the very same problem on top of the fact it makes noises that sound like it wanted to break right out of the package and it has major connectivity problems. I've never paid so much for a MFC printer before. Given i paid so much I expected a quality product. Theirs nothing quality about this printer. The advertised highlighted KEY feature of being cartridgeless, IS NOT worth the hours of troubleshooting without resolution, the loss of use factor and or the hassle of having to pay a deposit for a REFURBISHED product sent to you in place of your NEW printer if you purchased it more than 3months ago. Even though your still covered under your 1 warranty period. I had major problems around and or before the 50th page being printed or scanned with both units. I wish i never bought this printer. It was the biggest waste of money I've ever lost on a single electronic device in my life. I would have made out better buying 1 $40 polaroid instant camera. It would at least hold more value than a single ET 4760 Printer.

    Buyer Beware

    If there was a star lower than 1, I would give it. This was a total waste of money. I purchased this printer because I am a Kindergartner teacher and I needed to print in color. This printer NEVER printed in the correct color or shades. It was a mesh of blue/pink for everything. When I wanted tp print something green or yellows, it would print blue/pink. Epson said to clean the heads, etc. I followed everything they asked me to do and all of the different steps NEVER worked. After a few months I needed to fax something and when I tried, the printer quit working. The guy at Epson said that was an issue with these printer. He replaced it with another used printer that could not print colors. So disappointing. I have an all-in-one printer that does not work for the fax or putting paper through the top, I cannot print in color, and the black and white copies are mediocre at best.

    Poor Choice of a Printer

    I purchased for my business as do a lot of copies. Worked great for awhile until jammed a couple of times, but then I tried to do a mailing of about 4000 copies back-to-back and then it suddenly jammed a lot, had to clean the roller several times and realign several times, misprinted, and would automatically shut down. I was advised it could handle the print job. Apparently not! I tried talking to Epson customer service several times and got the run-around. They would replace only if I paid $299 for it to be returned and then they'd refund me. They didn't trust me but I was supposed to trust them to refund me. Hmmm.... They couldn't figure out why wasn't working either. They don't understand their printers any more than I did. I still have as cannot get rid of until I can find another that works better due to my business (although it's kinda on hold right now due to COVID-19). Now any time I use even to print a couple of pages or so, it constantly jams or won't pick up the paper. HUGE disappointment as worked great in beginning.

    Constant paper jams

    At least 50% of the time the paper jams. The function screen is tiny. It does not print 2 sides to 2 sides, only 1 side to 2 sides. Worst printer I have ever owned

    Epson Ecotank Printer Let Done

    Note I sent Epson I got the new Epson ET-2720 model last month thinking that the ecotank was a great idea after having many years with your traditional cartridge model. I do not think you have perfected this new technology because there is no reason that I have to do a full clean cycle every time I want to print something! Very annoying. Plus waste paper doing the print out tests. I use my printer every couple of days, not months in between use. I have a current receipt and if you have an alternate that would be better I would like to know. I always liked Epson in past at home and work (I'm a designer) so this new issue is a black eye on your products. I would welcome a reply. Thank you.

    Do not purchase!

    The print quality is poor for the price. After printing approximately 400 pages it has started leaving lines in my papers. It frequently stops printing, with no apparent error. Printing envelopes is a nightmare! Frequently jams and has errors when trying to print envelopes, which is half of what I print.

    JUNK!!! Epson claims 2 years worth of ink. It didn't even last 1 month. Super slow printer. Can't print from letter to envelope without first changing the setting on the printer. Very difficult to operate. Good luck returning it. Big time hassle in return and Epson won't provide a return shipping label. Rip off Epson.

    I DO NOT RECOMMENED THIS PRINTER AT ALL! IT'S HORRIBLE! You do save on the ink but where you save on the ink you lose everything else! Meaning quality of print, it doesn't print, scanner issues, connectivity issues, and plenty of others. After 6months to a year throw it in the garbage because its god awful!

    Research other reviews on Epson Printers before you buy! They are horrible. After 3 times using mine it needed a new mother board. Google Epson Printer reviews to hear what others say about these printers and save yourself. RUN! Buy an HP and move on.

    HATE IT! NO ENVELOPE SLOT! 10 Steps required to print an envelope, and 10 more steps to go back to letter sized printing. S.l.o.w. scanning, not user friendly, cumbersome menus.
