Excellent printer, very happy with the quality and performance. Looking forward to the cost savings of not buying ink cartridges. I would recommend this printer.

Hate to say, worst printer I've ever bought. Loses connection to the hardwired network frequently. Could not connect scanner to the Epson cloud, so I'm stuck with one scan sheet at a time, and very unreliably depending on whether the printer is "present" on the network or not. Constant software updates, often degrading performance over the prior version - I should learn not to accept updates. Worst of all, print quality not as good as another ink jet brand that a friend bought for at a lower price two years prior. Frequent warnings that I should stop printing because my low ink levels may cause damage. But the tanks are > 3/4 full. (I do love the ink tank approach - I think the hardware may be fine but the software is seriously lacking). Perhaps I got a one-off lemon.

Complex setup and often does not print or scan and has you go around in circles. It is brand new, with standard 11 X 8.5 paper, jams often. Clearing the jam requires several repeat of the jam clear procedure after the jam has been cleared. Prints well. Still a big savings over the former HP and its $70 black and color cartridges set when you only need black.

Best printer ever, you can see the ink which lasts so much longer and is less expensive then the cartridges. Definitely worth the initial cost.

Very easy to set up and load the ink. I haven't had a chance to use the printer a lot, but so far it has great.

The one time I needed to scan something, the scanning assembly fell apart. Cheap plastic gears. Printing was excellent

So far it does what it promise. Two sided duplex printing. ADF scanner and printer. Easy ink fill instructions. Took about 20 minutes for setup.

Our previous printer was an Epson. We had it for about 15 years. When time for an update, about a year ago, we purchased another brand. Big mistake. Very slow and screen had no backlight and was very small. We got rid of that one and purchased this Epson. Couldn't be happier.

After extensive research to find the right printer, the Epson EcoTank ET-4850 was what we settled on. I use it for my work from home and I required an all-in-one with fax, and I needed for my work from home, and I use this printer daily. I can scan documents over wi-fi right to my computer, and the FAX feature has come in handy when dealing with important documents. We have now been using it for 2-3 weeks, and it is doing such an excellent job. The prints are beautiful, B&W or color, prints beautiful photos, cards, and artwork. For everyday printing of forms and documents it is no fuss. The ink tanks are proving to be the way to go. Yes, printers with ink tanks are more expensive up front, but we will save so much now that we are not getting cartridges. I saw a lot of reviews with specific issues that I believed it could be the way some people go about setting up their printer. I used the USB plug in and ran the disk that came with it to install everything I needed on my computer. It does take a little time more to install it all and get the printer ready to print, but it was honestly very easy. The Epson Alexa can be setup to print out our grocery list once a week and print our grocery list through the Epson Alexa app every week, and it works every time.
