Also, they stop you from using generic ink cartridges from other ink companies. This printer was on sale for $49.99 which is less than the cost of replacing the four cartridges.

Other brands of ink cartridges, and ink supplies, are not compatible, and even if described as compatible, may not function properly or at all . Please ensure you have installed Epson genuine cartridges. I thought this would be something durable after a year but I’m disappointed after it had me trying everything to troubleshoot so I can scan my documents on its scanner. I ended up going to fedex just to get my documents scanned.
