Easy setup for WIFI.

Total setup time for the printer was about 10 minutes or less. The longest part of the setup was the Windows 10 setup as software holds at 66% for a good 20 minutes or longer installing then goes to 70% and completes. Naturally once setup new software downloads and a new firmware. One issue noticed is the firmware could not update from Windows 10 to the printer. Not much an issue as the printer prompted to it. Done from the printer very simple took less than 5 minutes. This printer replaced the Canon TS302

With so many printers sold out and/or unavailable, I took a chance on this one hoping that it would meet my most basic needs of printing an occasional photo/document. Black and white text printing was fine. Photo printing was nowhere near acceptable not even for the roughest of drafts. I should have known better, but I had hope. I was also surprised out how quickly it ran out of some of the inks. I literally printed two photos. I have a feeling this printer would work well for only the most basic need of black and white text printing. I didn't try the scan nor copy function, but I am sure the output is same. Functionality in terms of ease of use was great as with all Epsons. However, I will be returning this item as soon as possible. Had my Epson XP-610 not finally died after many years of great use, I would likely not even be writing about this XP-4100. As it stands, I have finally landed Epson's XP-970 and coudn't be happier.

It has lots of great features and as far as starter ink is concerned this printer provides more than its competitors. I would absolutely recommend stocking up on XL cartridges after the initial cartridges run out. Overall as far as home office printers are concerned this one takes the cake.

Epson - easy to refill

There are several brands of good quality. But all jet printers have common problem - ink in cartridges finish too fast and/or dry soon. New cartridges are pretty pricy. Workaround - to make cartridges refillable. With Epson I have good experience to DIY (search in Youtube). It was main reason, why I bought Epson. Recommend!
