My first experience with an Epson so I don’t have a lot to judge it on. The menu and function keys are different from my HP so still learning those. Paper and ink load easily. Ink consumption OK so far. Biggest gripe is the top door you lift to replace ink, etc. The arm is meant to slide into a little groove that holds the top open. Lifting the lid a bit is supposed to disengage it. But frequently it doesn’t and I have to lift again, jiggle a little and try again. Also the lid doesn't open very wide so my hands are squeezed when reaching in to replace an ink cartridge.

Its a top quality printer that prints clean black and white and color copies.

Needed a small home printer, decided on this model after troubles with two prior hps. Read reviews and determined this one was best choice based on price and function and needing a display screen the other models did not have, Yes it has a display screen, but it is so basic and rudimentary its painful to use. Screen is not touch, it is progressed by arrow keys and "ok" button for entry. Plus side it was easy to set up and connect to wifi and devices. Installed ink that came in the box and printed 3 maybe 4 pages and it indicated ink was low. Crazy! Reinserted cartridges several times, ran clean nozzle and maintenance programs and still low ink. Not my first printer so checked the cartridge and could feel/hear there was no ink. Contacted Epson help who were prompt, but it took 7 messages with pics to get them to acknowledge problem. They would send replacement carts in 3-5 days as a one time courtesy. In the meantime I am out of ink. Tried to refill cart myself having done successfully with prior printers and it is near impossible (even after helpful youtube demo). Day 10, no ink still. Contacted Epson again to be told ink is on back order, so will send as soon as they get it in. WHAT? the company that makes the printer AND ink is out of ink carts? No estimation of when that will be. Ink carts are newer product line $20 each, Unable to determine from online posts if other Epson carts are interchangeable , This has turned out to be a expensive bad purchase with no fix.
