    Average printer/scanner

I gave an average for when scanning: You need to do each one individually and not feed it through the paper feeder as one document.

I had a Epson printer for 7 years and I thought I would try a HP after mine quit. I had issues with it from day one. I took it back and got my trusty Epson and all is good now. No issues!!!

The printer is fine . I bought it for $70 .. but the ink is $52 .. i might as well buy a new printer. Why on earth is ink as much as the printer?

The installation was complicated and time consuming. The printer would not print some files, like pdf. I had to hire a technician to fix the problem, which took him one hour. I paid an extra $120. The printing is slow and noisy. I wish I had returned the printer right away.

I should have really thought about the new printer. It is really to small for my use. I will look for another printer for my heavy work load. I am a little iffy about the quality of the prints also.

The size of the Epson 4200 printer is just right. Setting the printer up was a real chore. The window is small, the arrows and such are black on black. I’ve set up several printers over the years but non as unresponsive as the Epson 4200. And printing is not at the simple press of a button. I would not buy another Epson printer.

Nice printer if you only use occasionally, which we do! Both retired so occasional copies, prints and photos are all we need. Replaced a twenty year old Epson that finally gave up. Best photo printers out there!

I am 83 years old and all the fancy IT things out there are beyond my comprehension and especially since I quit working. I love my little printer. It is able to do everything I need and I admit it is a bit slow, but so am I and so we are a good pair.

Cute little XP4200 - same size as my older XP420. I was hoping for smaller, since my space is limited. Instead of a cd to up load, I have to go online to upload. It's not as user friendly nor as solidly built as the easier older XP420. The older I get, the "newer", but not as user friendly is all the equipment. It still is not connected, but hope to get to it within the next week.

When it was working was great. Haven’t had very long and won’t print, it goes through the motions. All the mechanics work. No ink is being put on the paper. There is ink in the printer, and I ran a test sheet. No ink was put on the paper. I will take it back for a replacement. I will give it another shot and may adjust my review if the next one works for more than 20 sheets.

This is a good purchase. Great value for the money. I'm still learning how this printer operates after using it for 30 days, a little different from your basic printer.

Its a nice printer that is easy to setup and use but every time it runs out of ink which is very fast, it uses 1/4 of the ink cartridge to clean the nozzle to get it going good again. There is no point in getting the refillable ink cartridges because the chips are single use. There is no chip reset tool yet for them.
