A bang for Your Buck Printer!

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Overall I would say this printer in my opinion is for beginners, but it can be for those looking to save a buck or two as well. Depending on what we all need a printer for, this small in one will allow you to print, copy and scan documents / files and photos. There is a feature that allows you to scan and share to facebook and the cloud. So sharing to facebook would not really be for me, but for that person who wants an easier way to share photos, I would say this feature would be for you, and with the cloud, I find it useful as I am always sending files / data to the cloud, so that was another feature available along side that. Also you are able to do a creative print, so you can for example print facebook photos and creative custom cards, stationeries, and more with the creative print app on your phone, whether it be Android or iOS. when opening the box, the printer is securely packages, nothing is moving around loosely at all, everything was intact 100%, safety tape is on all parts of the printer. You get a Power Cable, software / driver software, setup guide, and printer. It is an easy setup, whether using a Windows based PC or a Mac. I based this from a beginner to tech savvy person as myself, it is easy to go about setting up a printer whether it was wireless or being connected via a PC of Mac with usb, just make sure for those who are not as tach savvy and may be new, that you follow the instructions step by step. Everyone will have a different experience, I will say if you happen to have an issue, depending on the store you purchased from, if you paid for a service, just remember you can contact them for help or Epson support as well. I am basing that statement off of my past experiences as a consumer and I have provided tech support for past 3rd parties both side business and as an employee, so I have been on both sides of the shoe. I will say only drawback is I wish printer companies would still send a usb cable with their printers, but they do not do this anymore, so make sure to when purchasing your printer whether it be online or in store that you purchase a Type A Male to Type B Male usb cable, I would say 6ft should be enough as that is what I am currently using for mine in the office, but each person will have a different preference. Also to mention if you do not want to use a usb, you can go fully wireless and print from anywhere in your house hold, whether close or far away. The printer happens to have a 2.8" screen, you can literally load 100 pages in the paper tray, as that is stated the max capacity, one may get away with one or two extra pages if lucky, but it will depends on the type of paper being used as well. As you can use standard paper, or the following: Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Borderless Glossy Photo Paper, Matte Paper (heavyweight), premium semigloss photo paper, and many more selection out there today, just make sure to watch for the thickness of the paper and if the printer can handle the print you are looking to do. The best part that I like about this printer is the cost of each ink cartridges compared to my experience with past printers from Epson, and competitors is the how high the cost of ink was, now the standard ink cartridges which would be about $9.99 which may differentiate on your location where you live. Epson has the XL ink cartridges as well, which are bit more, but they hold more ink in the cartridge itself, so you are able to do more printing. The types of cartridges this printer uses are cyan, yellow, blue, and black, just know if one goes out you are not constraint to replace all cartridges as some other brands make you do, you can just replace the cartridge that is out. Now I will point out if you are like me and like to print document as well and have many you need to print you can set the quality of the ink, in other words you can adjust how light or dark you print, which would determine how much ink is used from the printer, so you may use less or more. You can do another same when printer photos as well, just depends what setting you choose either if manual or using Epson’s software on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS, and etc. Over all I am impressed with the quality of the prints, I like how when I scanned copies they scan pretty fast, I do not have to wait for the printer to run a few minutes before printer, it prints as soon as I select what I want and press print. I was able to do this with ease from both my wireless devices and my computer that is connected via usb. The photo prints will take a few minutes or longer depending on what you are printing and your print settings for photos, as I like high quality photos with the style of shooting I will do from DSL, Point and shoot, to GoPro photos. The quality was great as well, was able to print some memories from the past. This is a really good printer for the size, you can put it almost anywhere in your house of your choosing, depending if connect USB or wireless. So you can set this printer up in any room you choose, and on a desk, shelf, etc. Note: make sure that whichever room you hook your printer that the Wi-Fi signal is there when connecting) As past experience different rooms different materials of the house affect the signal of your Wi-Fi which affect connection, is one reason I personally go wired if I can. Right now just to throw it in, my printer is it set up as a print share on my network. So anyone and everyone I allow to can print from this printer on my network.

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The Epson xp-440 is an all-in-one printer design that is small for what it includes. One of the key features that I was looking for was being able to print from my android tablet without difficulty. It has a 2.7 inch screen for navigating menus and doing setup. The other feature I was looking for was wireless connectivity so I can just place it anywhere in my house. When I received it, setup took me <10 minutes to setup from opening the box to printing out my first page. A very intuitive setup process. It includes the printer, a set of all 4 ink cartridges, a power cord, a sample media pack of papers, and a set of instructions. One thing it doesn’t include is a usb cord for it you plan on setting it up that route and it doesn’t have an RJ-45 port for if you plan on hard wiring it into your network. As a side benefit though, it has a SD card slot for direct printing from your camera if you need a quick photo or two. The benefit of an inkjet print is how good of photos they print. I use mine for mainly printing photos and for scanning. The rest of the time, I use a black and white laser printer as the ink is much cheaper. This one prints great photos. It can print 5760x1400 dots per inch and scan 1200-2400 dpi. This makes the pictures stand out whether you are scanning them in or printing them out. They come out magnificent on the ones I’ve printed. The downfall to this is ink again. It averages 175 pages with standard cartridges and 350 pages with xl cartridges that you can print out before the ink runs out. Replacement costs about $60 for all 4 cartridges but you can replace them as they run out if you prefer. Replacement is simple, simply snap one out and snap the new one into its place. Pro’s: It an all-in-one printer/scanner It prints great photos Scanning feature works great Wireless network connect and wireless direct connect work easily Its small so it doesn’t take up much room Holds 100 sheets of paper at a time You can replace single ink cartridges at time Con’s No duplex printing Ink is expensive Wireless is single band and not dual band So in summary, this is a great little all-in-one that I will use frequently for photo printing and scanning. It’s easy to use, hidden in my closet since its wireless, and just works when I go to print with it. I wish the ink was cheaper but I haven’t found a reasonable laser printer that does colors well enough for photos so I continue to need a laser printer and an inkjet printer.

Ive had the older model xp340 or something like that, and was considering the super tanker ones but looking to not spend a whole lot for an occasional pint out. Epsons are really nice but the software still feels like 1995, or worse. At least back then it was much easier to change parameters such as amount of grey printing to conserve ink when printing for rough drafts etc. as well as loading tray for odd and even printing of pages. By now all printer set up should also be available on the computer or mobile device and not 1 character at a time on the lcd screen panel, this is extremely painful especially if entering a wrong one. And connecting to internet and searching for network to several attempts for that reason. The swivel panel is a waste; not necessary; My friend had a fancier version and it broke despite careful handling, good thing he had warranty. Also, in 2018 the device is still not optimize for Mac - really? So why by it? For the cheap price the print quality is great for what it is and ink last a fair amount of printing, I think, for the stingy size of cartridges these companies produce despite being 2 decades in the new millennium (so much for being green) they should double the capacity. The scanner works quite well, for the occasional stuff needed. It was worth the $40 bucks plus the extended as I needed something quick and it impossible to get something more practical and smaller to print only B&W basics like in the 90's a bit more green/practical LOL. I really like canon printers but at this low end your stuck with only two cartridges and Epson has each color independent, However, with my last printer I was having trouble replacing one color because the others were low. That was a new problem I hadn't experienced before and hope its not repeated with this device. Once again, the quality of print is very good. But Epson should lead the industry with larger cartridges in this day and age for the $$ and a simple update to the software. No excuse. Most of the other units out there were either huge or had very impractical designs (stupid by esthetic standards). This is my 3rd Epson printer and I get several ys use then give away if Im not going to use for a while. See it on sale and need to print reports -Go ahead, buy it.

    Practically Perfect Budget All-in-One

Disclaimer: This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. As its somewhat cutesy name implies (‘small-in-one’), this printer’s major distinction is its compact form factor for a device that can print/scan/copy. While definitely smaller than most other all-in-ones, do know that because its scanning bed fits A4 items—which is certainly useful and almost imperative—it really isn’t extraordinarily small, only so in comparison to other printers. Nevertheless, every inch of desk space saved is an inch gained for something else and I will take this one's size over any other option. Because the printer needn’t be physically connected to a computer, mine sits rather inconspicuously on a small table outside of the home office. The device itself, it must be said, is well made and solid. My one quibble is with its control buttons—there is no touchscreen—which I think feel rather cheap. They work, however, and realizing this is a rather inexpensive printer, I happily accept them as they are. The setup of the printer is super easy as one can connect to their home network straight from the printer itself. On my Windows laptop, it was equally easy to add the device once I got it connected to the network. The automatic installation of drivers was quite the breeze and one needn't use a disc or even navigate to Epson's site. I further set the printer up via Google’s ‘cloud print’ service which allows one to print documents from anywhere. (If you have any troubles, refer to the printer's IP address that is listed on the print out after it gets connected.) This too was simple and allowed me to make prints from my phone which I had before never done. Whether by phone or laptop, my print jobs have been completed quickly and without any error. Copies and scans came out perfectly as well. While I haven’t yet had the occasion to replace any of the ink reserves, the process of doing so is easy enough, and this model allows you to replace specific colors (4) as needed rather than all or most at once. Overall, I have had precisely zero issues with the printer during my time with it and I will gladly continue using it moving forward. Printers, as we all well know, can be a fickle bunch so it’s nice to find one without problems. This fits the bill and I can recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, all-in-one device.

    Good space saving printer

The first things that I noticed about this printer were the compact size and light weight. I think it would be a great printer for a home or home office where space may be limited (like mine). Or, it would be perfect for a student. Set up was very simple. To connect to my ipad, all I had to do was plug in the printer and connect it to my wifi connection. It printed directly from my air print without any problems! To print from my laptop, I did have to install the software that came with the printer but had zero problems there either. Epson has been known for many years as a go to brand for photo quality printing and although this is one of the less expensive models, it does not disappoint. Photos print sharp, ink dries instantly and the photo is smudge resistant. Remember the printers that would saturate your copy paper with ink and you were afraid to touch it? Not a problem with this one! It has some great features that do not usually come standard with an all in one printer (well, not any I have seen lately), unless you get a fancy expensive office type printer. One feature is double sided printing. I love this feature! It saves paper which saves money! It also reduces waste which is good for the planet (brownie point for Epson!). I was surprised that the paper tray held up to 100 sheets of paper considering the compact size of the printer. When scanning in a document, you have the option to scan it in as a JPEG or as a PDF. It also has an option to scan it to “Cloud” which I have not tried yet but I think it would eliminate the need to scan it to a memory disk or directly to the computer. A couple other optional functions include copy/restore photos, photo layout sheet, slideshow and personal stationary. Over all, this Epson printer is a great quality printer at a good price with a nice space saving design. If you are in need of a good quality printer but are limited with space, or you just don’t want to have a big bulky printer sitting in your home – I recommend this Epson printer! This is a review for the Epson Home XP- 440 Small in One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

So, I finally received my new printer in the mail and I set it up immediately, which was a very simple task. Took about 2 minutes to set up the hardware. I mainly use my printer for eBay labels and light photo printing. It didn't say it was a photo printer but most people were pleased with the quality. First impression is cheap. This thing felt flimsy and just all round cheap. I can't see this thing lasting very long. Set up was extremely easy and I was off and printing. It takes a long time to get going if it's been dormant for a while but once it starts it's fairly quick. As a black and white/color printer it's pretty basic. Quality is above average, and for basic printing and the price it's a steal. My previous hp was a photo printer so I'm used to high quality photo prints. I've been playing around with printing photos and since it's not a photo printer the quality isn't bad. I keep going back to the price, which makes this a slightly above average photo printer. I used multiple settings and multiple photo papers and the quality is definitely passable for hanging in a frame. Colors are fairly bland, without much pop. The big difference is this printer only has 4 cartridges instead of 5 like a "photo printer" once again, for the price it's definitely a decent printer. However, If I want lab quality photos it's worth it for me to go to Costco and not worry about using my ink.. what most people fail to recognize is the price point. You get what you pay for. Don't expect a sub $150 printer to print lab quality prints, and you'll be set. If you want a decent priced, small footprint printer you might want to give this one a shot. All in all, this printer is worth the 49.99$ that you have to fork over. It comes with most up to date features, my favorite being the wireless printing and being able to scan pictures straight to facebook. This is a compact printer so it doesnt take up a whole bunch of space on your desk or wherever you'd like to set it up. If your not looking for top-notch picture color, or if your main use is printing black and white text, this is definitely a great buy!

Failed After 80 Days, Support Failed, Too

We bought this printer on Oct 17, 2017 at Best Buy. The black ink ran out at Christmas (less than 90 days), so installed a new Epson ink cartridge. It worked for about one day, then the printer locked up. The home screen was inaccessible. The ink cartridge was inacessible. When we turned it on, the screen said "Ink Out - Error" in red letters. So I took it to the Geek Squad. They were great! I bought another Epson cartridge. The Geek Squad figured out how to install the new cartridge. Same Error. I called Epson, while they waited. Epson's rep said the printer was defective and to ship it back, but Epson required a credit hold for the full purchase price. I gave them a credit card. Epson's rep submitted it twice, but said it was declined. Turns out Epson's rep misspelled my name. Fixed, Declined again, twice. Turns out one digit of the card was mis-entered. Fixed. Declined again, twice. Turns out the Epson rep misspelled my city name. Fixed. Declined again, twice. Turns out Epson's rep mis-entered my phone number. Fixed, Declined again. Twice. By this time, we had corrected every possible field in the credit card screen, and it was still being declined. Either some data entry errors persisted, or the credit card company 's fraud prevention kicked in after 8 failed attempts. I gave up. This printer is in the dumpster, along with Epson's reputation.

First off: “This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” On to the unbias review. First thing you will notice is the great packaging. Worry not when you order online as it is well packed, so unless the shipping company is abusing the box for purpose of destroying it I would say that it will arrive with no damage. The setup is super easy even my none tech savy mother could hook this up to our wifi. The printer itself takes up such little room I have it sitting on an end table till I am done unpacking boxes in my house. There is a great tilt feature for the screen/controls so you can easily see without having to bend over. The lcd screen is just the right size and color to see all you need to make your print/scan jobs easy and fast. As for install on your pc make sure you run the software as administrator. The installation has a few programs to install some you need such as print and scan others you shall not unless you care to assist in sharing your printer information with Epson to make their products/drivers better in the future. For Iphone/Ipad users there is nothing to install or download. The printer was listed once it and my Iphone 7+ were connected to the same wifi I was able to print with ease. Android users should be the same but I was only able to test the Samsung Galaxy S7 as that is what my wife has currently. So as for the Samsung Galaxy S7 it was a just as simple with being on the same wifi network and then once you touch to print you select the Epson XP-440 printer. Then in mere seconds your print job is done. The printing speed is second to none for this size printer at home. I tested this with my older HP wifi printer and it was almost 10 seconds faster. Plus with this being top loaded paper vs bottom pulled there was no worry of paper jams as my HP would shake the paper in the loading tray back and would jam as it went to print more then one page. The quality is just as you would expect with any printer with the name Epson on it. There were no smears or smudges of any kind and each line was printed as it appeared on your print preview screen. All in all I would highly recommend this printer as it is very small footprint in your home or office. Plus it does not cost a lot and is very easy to install. Plus it can print from all the devices we now all use daily!

“This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” The printer has a very sleek design. It is very professional and honestly expensive looking. It arrived rather quickly and was extremely easy to set up. I did have one issue...my printer did not have the power cable in the box as it should have but a 2 minute phone call to customer service had the cable in the mail to me immediately. Customer service was extremely nice and informative and extremely apologetic. The printer was extremely easy to set up right out of the box. Everything is step by step easy set up and registration. You are not only able to print using wireless where the printer is set up...but it has the option of printing anywhere! You get to set up an email address to the printer that allows you to simply email whatever you want printed to the address from wherever you are and it will be printed waiting on you when you get to the printer! The printer comes with a package inside the box that has free trial pages of numerous different types of printer paper which was great as well. Over all the printer is top of the line and at a fantastic price!

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. However, I depend on online product reviews and am posting my honest impressions. Unboxing, ink installation and setup were simple and went quickly. You can install the printer using WI-FI (my choice) or connecting directly to your computer by USB (cable not included). Epson includes an installation disc but I elected to download the latest package from their site. The printer found my network, I input my password on the printer’s screen (found entering the digits a bit laggy) and then was good to go. Included are four “standard” ink cartridges that are expected to provide in the neighborhood of 175 black and white pages or 165 in color. The printer is currently being offered online at prices around $60. One consideration is that a complete set of replacement “standard” ink could cost around $40 (or more). Does that make this a “disposable” printer (i.e., if the printer comes down in price before the ink does, it might almost makes sense to buy a new printer rather than new ink)? I find it amazing that one can buy a compact and lightweight device for $60 that prints, scans and copies. I have numerous Epson printers, have come to expect excellent quality results and the XP-440 does not disappoint. Using Wi-Fi, you can locate the printer almost anywhere and there’s no “power brick” to clutter your desk or table. The printer accepts SD cards so you can scan to a memory card if you don’t want to scan directly to your computer. The printer holds up to 100 sheets. As with my other Epson printers, you can print from any device and even email to your printer’s unique address and the printed paper will pop out of your XP-440. Even at such a low price, the printer features a 2.7 inch LCD screen for navigation and photo previews. The screen and control panel pivots to make it easier to view. I currently use an Epson WF-4630 in my home office. That machine is a monster that holds tons of paper, prints much faster and faxes (who faxes anymore?). If I didn’t own that printer, I would find it hard to resist the price and features of the XP-440. Can you tell I was impressed?

I purchased this printer in May of 2017 and i was dumb enough to not get the warranty on it...because i figured, I have purchased $29 black friday walmart printers and those have lasted me years. What could go wrong? I have had nothing but issues with it. For starters - The ink levels deplete insanely fast! Also, every time i print i have to clean the cartridges because it leaves streaks of unprinted area on my documents. I clean them and it works for a short while before i have to do it again. This of course depletes the ink level quite a bit. I have gone through so many cartridges and the ink is expensive. I even feel the XL cartridges do not last as long as the standard cartridge in another printer. Another HUGE con. I had just under half of my black ink left and had approximately 50 documents to print with just words. My black ink ran out at 45 pages! Was I able to switch to use the color cartridges for the remaining 5? NOPE! It will NOT allow you to print ANYTHING let alone access the menu on the printer until you change the empty cartridge! With all of this said, I have reached out to Epson and they simply stopped responding. This printer is better off in the trash than dealing with this headache!

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This printer was the easiest I have ever set up. I set it up for wireless, but you can use a USB cable as well. It automatically found my network and as soon as I put in the router password, it was connected and working. A lot of modern electronics come with lousy documentation, but this came with clear and easy to follow instructions and made setup a breeze. The control panel is very intuitive and so quick to learn; I was truly amazed. The printer is not a big hulk either; it is a nice compact size. I tried print, scan and copy and all the functions worked fine. The setup CD was worked without any issues. The paper tray has a reasonable capacity. This has 3 color cartridges plus black (4 total), so it is a little more economical than printers with 2 tanks, as you only have to replace the one that has run out. I have found this is not usually that big of an advantage, as many of the colors often run out about the same time on some printers. I checked on the price of the ink and it's not as bad as some color inkjet printers; even on the Epson website the price is reasonable; around $10 to $12 per cartridge. I don't know how much capacity the ink cartridges have, but you can also buy higher capacity cartridges (at a higher price of course). I have owned printers from several manufacturers including another Epson that is still in use and it is my opinion that you can't really pick a better printer than an Epson. Not that you can't find fine printers from other companies, but sometimes you end up with a dud, as I did with one manufacturer that I trusted. Also when selecting a printer, it's a good idea to see how expensive replacement ink is. Epson printers seem to always be well made. Their ink seems to be top notch as well (good bright colors). I don't think you will be disappointed in any way with this printer and the price of this printer is very reasonable (under $70).

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have used and owned multiple printers from various manufacturers but this is the first Epson printer I have used at home. The product is well packaged in minimal packaging. Setup was very straight forward and I was able to join the device to our home Wi-Fi network very simply and quickly. I was able to setup the printer and print direct from an iPhone (without installing any custom software! :)) within a few minutes and are very impressed with the results. The device has a small footprint and is very sleekly designed, I like the fact that all the trays, feeder and the LCD display fold in when not in use and this can fit within the home comfortably and not look out of place. The printer arrives with the required four cartridges (one black, cyan, magenta and yellow), which I hope over time offers better economy than other printers I've used which only have two types of cartridge. I'm still putting the printer through its paces so haven't exhausted the cartridges it ships with yet. The printer comes with a pack of different types of paper so it's easy to explore and try printing different types of media, e.g. photos and documents. Print speed is good, even when printing in Quiet Mode (handy utility when in confined spaces). Scanning and copying has been very straight forward and most importantly doesn't need another device to initiate it, it can all be performed from the control panel and there are even options to do this from mobile devices. Overall with the very reasonable RRP and the cost of replacement cartridges, this printer offers a great setup experience, value for money and a very sleek product which doesn't look out of place in the modern home.

If this was marketed as only a photo printer and scanner I would definitely give it five stars as the quality of prints on glossy paper is on par if not better than professional prints or photos from developed film. The scanning detail is some of the best I have seen in a consumer grade product as well. In regards to document printing I would say look elsewhere unless you want to replace ink frequently as the rating of even 150 pages would be prints at draft quality as after about 15 pages of just black and white text documents my ink was shown to be down to nearly 3/4 full. In summary this is an absolutely amazing printer for high quality photo prints and scans and I would recommend it for that purpose as the cost to use the printer is on par with the results but if you are going to use this for printing documents of any decent yield look at another device. This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. If you are looking for a cheap printer for your home, this is the one to get. After unboxing the printer, it really is very small for a multi-functional printer. However, you can easily tell that this printer is a low cost printer in the design and construction. It doesn't have that quality build feel to it and things like the LCD screen are not touch screen and feel very cheap. With that being said, none of that caused any issues with the actual important part of the printer, the actual printing. Setup of the printer went rather smoothly as my computer installed the drivers and software without issue. I did have problems trying to configure the wifi network for the printer via my computer but I think that was due to my complex network setup. Once I did the WiFi setup on the printer alone, it worked without any issues. As for the important part, the printing, this pretty much worked without issue. I was able to print from various computers on my network as well as directly from my phone. Printing speeds aren't the fastest but they not slow either. It is nice that the print ink cartridges are separate so you only have to replace the one which is out. I would have liked to see a larger size black as some other printers have as that is typically used much more then the colors. All in all, it provides most of the features of a multi-functional product (copy, print, scan) but without the price tag. And most important, it works. I can't see this in an office or high volume printing environment but if you have a small home business or just want something for your family's daily use, this would be the printer.

I purchased this printer because I needed a cheap functional printer that had wireless capability. The short and sweet version...it does the job it was intended for. Things I like are: -The price; this printer is fairly cheap -It connects to the internet -It's easy to configure, setup, connect to wireless, etc. -The screen is color Things I am not a fan of are: -It feels super cheap with some flimsy plastics and buttons -The feeder for paper is not the best -while connecting to the printer is easy, when the connection is idle, or if you log off the network from the computer your connected from, or if you turn the printer off and back on, I have had to remove the printer from my devices and printers and reconnect from scratch. This happened on two different windows PCs I have and gets annoying over time. All in all, this printer is decent. It will get the job done and if you get it on sale, it can be cheaper than buying new ink cartridges from a chain store. It has some quirks and it does feel cheap, but you get what you pay for. I would buy it again if I just needed something cheap and functional.

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I really like that this printer is small and compact because it doesn't take up a bunch of space on my desk which is already limited. Even though it's smaller than most it has just as many functions as some of the larger printers and everything I would ever need at home. Even with it being smaller the buttons on the screen are still easy to see and use which is impressive to me. I didn't have any troubles using it to set up the printer and then use it for basic scanning functions during testing. The printer was super easy to set up with my home wi-fi network so I am able to print things from my computer as well as my phone and iPad with ease. I tested them all out and was able to locate the printer as well as print via the connection. You can also use the screen to choose printing options to make copies or print from a memory card or USB connection. I really like that the ink cartridges are all individual also instead of a tri-color so you can just change the color that needs it instead of wasting ink when only one is out. The pages that I copied as well as the ones I printed were nice and clear and the colors were very bright and crisp. I am very impressed with this printer and happy to have it taking up less space on my desk than my old one.

I have wanted a Epson printer for a long time. Well I finally got the chance to review one. When mine arrived it was in perfect condition and packaged up securely in the original box. Everything was in it, such as the power cable and driver disk. Plus there is a sample pack of different types of photo paper! Set up was simple and I was guided by the step by step guide included. Once everything was hooked up right and ran my test page I was ready to go. I was surprised at how sleek the printer looks and all the buttons are easy to touch and use. The screen lights up very well and is clear so you can choose the right option. The ink cartridges are awesome because in stead of just replacing a catridge because your yellow is out, on the epson you just take the yellow cartridge out and put in the new. I feel like I will be saving money this way. The photos come out perfect and just how I like them. I tested from my phone also and the only issue was i needed to download a driver for it on my phone for wireless printing. Other then that it came out perfect. I love this printer and Epson rocks on the design! This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

    Great Value For Printing Needs

This is a review for the Epson Expression Home XP-440 Small-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Upon opening the box I was surprise at how light weight the printer was. It is very convenient if you need to move the printer around from place to place like I do since I don't have a formal office. The printer itself comes with a variety of papers to test and try out which is nice because You can see what works best for your individual project. During set up I had to use the CD to install the driver for my Windows computer. It was a little bit of a struggle to get the correct driver installed. This was more than likely due to my laptop itself. Opening up the files on the computer and running the install software manually was a breeze, so if you laptop isn't the best or most up to date you can still install easily! My first print was from my Samsung S7 Edge. I installed the app as directed and that was it! I selected my photo and made sure the paper was installed and it came out perfect! I love that it was super easy friendly for the mobile device. I have another wireless printer and it was MUCH easier to get the Epson 440 to run using my phone. You have the benefit of the screen as well. It pops up to see it better just like the higher end all in one printers have. The nice part is underneath there is a button that you can push that makes the screen go back down to be flush with the printer again. With other printers I have had an issue getting the screen to go down and I have felt that I would break it. With the Epson 440 there was no worry or need to force anything. All in all it is a great printer. You get a lot of value for what you pay and it prints smoothly for photos and everything else.
